  1. Knows where the loos are. Knows the kit colour. Can fill in as stadium security on weeknights once they're out of the Champions League.
  2. Already has the training ground saved in his Sat Nav man, he's a step ahead.
  3. It's the football equivalent of a walk-off knockout. Cool AF.
  4. Lampard will be Brucily signing the contract, saying "kin ell!"
  5. Massively peeved at that lineup since Isak is my FF captain. Sometimes it seems like managers don't even care about that. I thought Eddie was different.
  6. O'Neill is an experienced firefighter in the same way Bruce Forsyth is an experienced entertainer.
  7. You'd think the required total will be a bit less than average this year. No 1 or 2 sides marooned at the bottom dishing out points to everyone, our rivals all a bit flaky etc. Points are being distributed more evenly, or so it seems. I guess the top 2 not being as formidable as recent years might affect matters a touch, if they're dropping points our rivals pick up.
  8. Yeah he was quite patronising there, continuing the Man Utd tone from yesterday. "Longstaff and Willock are good players and they're good lads, but the Man Utd midfield shouldn't be getting overran by them". I'm happy with people continuing to underestimate us but it is annoying when professional pundits are that lazy yet speak with so much conviction about a subject they're clearly not on top of.
  9. Serious answer, I sort of choose my battles putting it on the big telly. I don't want her having to watch football all the time. We'll watch all NUFC games together on big telly but happily she pure loves the toon these days, having not really seen much football before we met. Other than that maybe a game a week on the big telly, depends on the schedule. And I'll watch a few on a laptop when she's watching something else. And it's on constantly whenever she's out
  10. Yes my wife happily lets me watch football endlessly, and all of my friends' wives are the same. Will that do for you mate? Hope all is well.
  11. Btw quite a few of us said Potter was daft to take that job, and quite a few disagreed. Wonder if he'll go back to trackies for his next job after raiding Reiss when he got the Chelsea job.
  12. Why don't Chelsea just ask Brighton who they'd replace De Zerbi with and skip a step, save some money?
  13. I was at that 6-2, Dyer had foolishly been talking up his chances of starting more regularly for England in the local press in the buildup then Scholes turned up and showed him why he wasn't first choice in that side.
  14. Liverpool have been flaky AF all season. Spurs concern me a bit just because they have been underperforming considering their personnel, and a caretaker manager can sometimes provide a weird boost to morale and form. It's really in our hands though imo, with the inconsistency of the sides around us. Pick up approx 2 points a game til the end of the season and we'll get top 4 without worrying too much about looking over our shoulder, imo.
  15. Refreshing seeing news of our accounts when the first thought isn't how we've fiddled them to make it look like we couldn't have spent any more on transfers.
  16. It's because most football fans and even a fair few pundits are just after an easy soundbite they can rattle off to make it seem like they've been paying attention. If it's something that puts those Newcastle fans back in their box, even better. The modern phenomenon of people needing to tell everyone very loudly their opinion on everything, even if it's not their own opinion. While the rest of us have to listen to it On the other side of the coin there has been a huge rise in people kissing our arses, now we've been decent for well over a year. This will only increase as we continue to be well run, and our performances become more impossible to ignore.
  17. He's noncey and he's so bald He wishes he was Stone Cold His patter's getting well old The Man Utd manager (to the tune of Addams Family if not obvious)
  18. Arsenal out for Man Utd seem decent moves on the face of it. I'm still keeping Saka and White personally mind, for now.
  19. Ward, Tarkowski, Martinelli, Haaland. I'm not too fussed about the - 12 as I'm justifying it with the replacements all having decent doubles and being long term picks. Rashford needs to be in til end of season, same with Kepa to rotate with Raya etc. I've not taken too many hits this season but make an exception for DGWs where the potential upside seems worth it
  20. Quite a few injury / illness doubts - Haaland, Rashford, Botman etc - making it tricky this week btw. I might actually bin Haaland off for 1 week but begrudge the extra I'll have to pay getting him back later.
  21. I'm about 10k OR atm, dangerously dizzy heights. Thinking about taking a -12 so I can fully utilise the bench boost. Players bringing in - Kepa, Shaw, Rashford, Isak.
  22. I might actually go Isak this week.
