  1. It's dead amusing when people with political views that amount to "fuck everyone else, as long as I'm alright" get offended when people imply that means they're probably not a particularly nice person
  2. Rolled my transfer, stuck with Salah over Rashford cos I couldn't be arsed getting the latter in for one game when I have to navigate BGW next week.
  3. Can everyone stop fucking panicking about Liverpool now please? They've been flaky as fuck all season long. They might put a run together but have shown zero evidence this season that they can or will. All is not right there, or at Spurs, or at Chelsea. If we can sort our shit out we've still got a chance of 4th.
  4. Kin ell, I'm 29k in the world now! Flabbergasted Was shitting it a bit without Rashford today but didn't think it was worth getting him back in for 2 games before his BGW. And still had Salah from last week so got quite lucky but did think it wouldn't be an easy game for Man Utd with it being at Annfield.
  5. Man Utd's goal difference is now +6. Arsenal are on +34 and Man City +41. We're still +18. Gives you an indication of how many of their wins were squeaked out 1-0s etc, and that they've taken a good few pastings this season as well.
  6. People saying we can't get top 4 or 6 are the same as those who used to say 10/10 for relegation when we were 1 point off 4th bottom with 10 games left I assume Maybe some people do it to reverse jinx the situation but look at the table and the chances we're creating and the 100+ years of football where teams have gone on good runs and bad runs. And our rivals aren't going to win every game either. The next 2 games are massive. The turnaround in form needs to begin very soon and if it does then we've got every chance of finishing 4th-6th. We were always going to have a bad patch, hopefully ours is nearly done with. Way too soon to be saying it's all over.
  7. Man Utd have been due a result like this for a while, they've been squeaking out results without being particularly impressive with crazy frequency since about October.
  8. 4 excellent chances and we've not connected with 1 of them!
  9. Good summary, agree with all of it. Man City definitely haven't dominated, although we have looked on the ropes a few times. The finishing needs to improve man, it's killing us. Especially in games like this when chances are scarce. Hope to see Isak, ASM and Willock get plenty of minutes in 2nd half.
  10. It's no wonder Grealish hasn't been as good for Man City when he's having to ref the game as well as play these days.
  11. "Too nice" is a meaningless cliche uttered by men with very red faces who are obsessed with Jeremy Clarkson. It isn't even remotely accurate or relevant with Howe: - There are no disciplinary issues in our squad - He has us playing smartly re game management etc - He's refusing to back down when challenged on our "antics" Yes he seems a nice bloke and is respectful towards other managers etc but I see no evidence whatsoever of his demeanour affecting us adversely. It's a pathetic and ungrateful comment to make actually, given what Howe's already done for us. Hopefully it's not one of those things that gets picked up by more and more thick fucks, and becomes accepted as fact.
  12. Feel really down tbh, such a depressing outcome today. Of course we can be proud of our fans, our city and our team and look to the future with optimism. However today was difficult to watch and accept. We were on top for long periods and if it's 0-0 at HT then perhaps we had a chance of nicking it but once Man Utd were ahead by two goals that was game over. After that it was the perfect situation for them - toothless attack versus solid and streetwise defence, and there was no way we were going to score. It's disappointing because it feels like this game came at a bad time for us and a good time for them - we were bouncing before the World Cup but looking extremely ponderous on the ball now, and starting to look less solid at the back as well. We'll bounce back of course but we need a serious look at the squad because there is no depth and we rely too heavily on certain players. We'll get there but today was painful. No complaints about the staff or players - everyone gave absolutely everything and it most certainly wasn't lack of effort or commitment that was at fault today. Not a nice feeling but we'll be back.
  13. if ASM and Isak were both starting we'd have nobody on the bench that could change the game if needs be. Willock at a push, but he's probably half fit.
  14. Mike in Newcastle, man. Desperately wanna tell people but nobody would have a fucking clue what I was on about That's some commitment like. It may be 5 years away, or 10 years, or 25, but some day in the future people will stop calling him a Liverpool fan.
  15. It's utter wanker behaviour to try to influence officials in the media before a game. Ferguson invented this type of thing and was called the master of mind games, when really it's basically cheating when you already have every financial and sporting factor already stacked in your favour. Is it against the rules these days? Managers can get fined for post-match comments but surely this is even worse?
  16. Took an 8 point hit to remove 3 Man Utd players and Mitro, to get in 2 Liverpool for their double and a couple of cheap starters. So have 11 players but a bit of a mess to sort out next week probably. I'm in the top 100k overall atm and aim is to stay there but I doubt it.

    Loris Karius

Putting Karius into Cassius by Foals sort of sounds like it's a pep talk from his therapist after the CL final: Karius is over! Karius away! Karius these daydreams, these daydreams decay! Karius an accident! Karius an accident! Accident! Accident! Accident!
  18. That Tevez season - Pardew was sacked halfway through and Curbishley took over. Kept them up on the final day at Old Trafford.
  19. I think the entry time slot was on our tickets when we went to a recent England game at Wembley. Pretty sure it's just advisory, in other words you can just pretty much ignore it. We were running late as people were coming straight from work so we went in way after the time on the ticket.
  20. Ian, maybe you should come back in the thread tomorrow with comments like this? People are very disappointed and stuff like this just winds them up. There are lots of comments on Twitter where P4s (season ticket holders) have missed out and and P5-7s (P6 = 1 cup match this season) have got tickets. I know 2 P6s who both got tickets, while our P4 applications did not. It is OK for people to be aggrieved about that while they get their head around it, without you being in here accusing them of being miserable.
