  1. No idea why they keep making away kits that look so much like their home kits. They did it the other year with the light purple that looked grey. What the fuck is the point?

Yeah, first of all you have the land we need to buy from different parties, with rumours of us recently buying Wellbar Central (Sky offices). You then have the complications of building over Metro station, which is possible, but will cost more. Add on the re-routing of both Strawberry Road, and Barrack Road. Now add on how we are either going to do it in stages, or play elsewhere, likely a bit of both. Then finally, the cost of the new build stadium in anyway.

In all fairness they say $4bn, which would be more like £3bn. It would also mean that will be at a super stadium, like Atlanta, Sofi, and Allegiant etc. I don’t see how rebuilding SJP would be considerably cheaper than building a new stadium though, if anything I think it would be more expensive.

Same article he posted yesterday the click baiting cunt.
  5. They were determined to lose that game. Every shot was tamely straight at the keeper, like passing to her. Got the ball in their box and we would be at a tight angle, free players in the middle of the box, and they would take the shot on. Constantly passing it all the way back to the keeper when they never needed to, that’s how Durhams goal came about. We were in a promising position, and pass it all the way back, and the ball was picked up. Durham never created anything that we didn’t create for them. No idea what that Andrews offers, Katie Barker was a much better player in her position. Andrews is the same as the lass we had last season from Crystal Palace, absolutely no power in her strikes of the ball.
  6. I think they may have under estimated what they could make from us. The launch of the home shirt was a record for us, and the away tops have sold pretty well as well. Add on top the retro style home shirt, and the training stuff, they will have made unbelievable numbers. An extra £5 next year off long sleeved versions, and at some point the 96 remakes, and some NUFC Gazelles, they will be laughing all the way to the bank. It will certainly be making them wonder why they never put in an effort with us towards the end of their last contract with us.
  7. Skysports doing a rendition of ‘Jack off Everton’ post match.
  8. He would be ideal for a team at the bottom. 5 goals for the remainder of the season could equal survival, and he’s capable of that. A team chasing promotion could also do with him.
  9. I agree, but it’s frustrating because the issues fans can see, have lead to us not winning today. A striker and Wilson shipped out in the summer, and we would have had better chances, and possibly a goal. A RW and we create more chances, especially in the first half when Murphy was hiding. Fuck it, we’ll beat them on the final day, get into Europe, and relegate them.
  10. Need to shift him in January for someone who can actually play. A massive liability now.
  11. I agree, performance wise we were much better and had we scored just 1 goal, the narrative would be different. Infuriating how we haven’t realised that Wilson is a crock, or given the young striker a chance.
  12. Proper 1940’s style no thought process, jaunty tunes, and repetitive words.
  13. Fucking chasing a CB all summer when you had Wilson moving into Rake Lane, and no options at RW. Jonathan David was available for next to nowt, and now he’s banging them in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
  14. Fuck sake man, that was our chance to win it.
  15. 5 subs on 3 occasions, plus HT, plus any concussion.
  16. Nah. It looked it at first, but on 2nd viewing, it clearly wasn’t.
  17. What the fuck were we doing there? Just passing it about across our own box.

As I said in my post, it maybe possible, but if you look at Spurs, they did this and still had 2 and a half seasons at Wembley, they arguably had more land to build more than what we will, and certainly less complications.

I’m interested in urban developments, but my knowledge of actual construction is more lacking. At a guess, I’d say if you had the bulldozers in the day after our last game, then I wouldn’t expect to be playing back at SJP for 3 seasons at least, with a high possibility that we have to play that additional half a season or so elsewhere. Had it been a blank site, you would say 2 years - 2.5 years if they pulled their finger out. Reconfiguring Barrack Road would be a delay, so too would the Strawberry Road. You obviously have the Metro tunnels, and you can’t simply close the station and that be the end of the story, as the trains need to go into it to turn around. You also have the additional complication that we have simply built over existing structures in the Gallowgate, and Milburn end. I guess you could shorten some time by building as much as you can where the Metro station is, and getting some sort of ground works in on a bit of Barrack Road. Another complication is having the stadium too close to the developments on the other side of it, you absolutely don’t want to create a road that is too closed in by what would be high rise developments. It would block out light, make it look unpleasant, and would be similar to the urban alleyways that was typical of 60’s structures, with the potential of the social problems that comes with it. Again, I still think 3 years at the earliest.
