    Why no playoffs?

We are, but it won’t be fair once they do. They will still try to keep PSR. Them being allowed better sponsorship deals, and a greater distribution share of TV will continue.
  2. Was he really an asshole? He was asked a question about what he brings and what he is going to bring differently to the club, he answered it by saying that the clubs previous approach to transfers wasn’t fit for purpose long term and that the club had moved on from the position they were in when the takeover happened, and what they needed going forward. Fans and then the media after that all pissed their pants and thought that it was a dig at Howe.

Of which they also decided was suspended.

They would have played B teams or at least weakened teams in the Premier League. Ultimately they would have opted out of the League Cup and FA Cup, and would have eventually asked for a closed Premier League. I love how our clubs owners are the ones who are said to be a threat to football when they literally tried to both steal football in England through project big picture, and then form the ESL within a few months of each other. Truth be told, they should have all been thrown out there and then.
  5. I doubt it. I’d imagine that they want a stadium adjacent to the training facilities. There is no chance long term they will want SJP/new stadium, the training ground/academy, and a stadium elsewhere. A lot of teams are moving into their men’s team stadium as well, Arsenal next year are playing all their games at the Emirates. I think long term the choice will be between a stadium at the new training ground, which will double up for the academy teams, or using the new stadium for the woman’s teams.
  6. Same really. You look at what they have thrown at their own clubs which have no PSR, you look at what they have thrown at both Golf and boxing. We may not have got Mbappe because his heart was set on Real Madrid, but we would have thrown everything at everyone. Heck even Ronaldo would be here, not that I’d want him, but he would have instantly increased the commercial factors of the club. As it happens, if they had, then we likely wouldn’t have Isak in anyway, because we only got him when Ekitike took the PSG money, and we fell short of the money required for Pedro. Rumours are our stadium construction costs could be close to the record stadium construction costs. Sofi is currently the record stadium build, and that is state of the art with a shopping mall, cinema etc within in, so if ours is close to that, how good is it? I do think if it wasn’t for PSR, we would be like PSG early on, and I’m not sure it would have worked well for us outside of commercial growth, but they would have thrown everything at us. For some reason they are shit scared to risk falling foul of PSR. I think they have been warned that if we are ever caught out, our punishment would be much worse than what Everton and Nottingham Forest have received. Make no mistake about it, if it wasn’t for our takeover, neither of those clubs would have received a points deduction. They were our warning.
  7. Similar happened to a player we bought once.
  8. Crystal Palace’s partial sale to Woody Johnson has been completed. He owns 25% of them. The Americans inching ever closer to the 14 teams they need.
  9. The Reubens have owned a large piece of land in Newcastle for the best part of 20 years. It’s only now that the takeover has been completed that they have decided to build on that land and are housing HMRC and other government staff so that they can move from Benton and Longbenton next to where the clubs training ground is. Both the Reubens and PIF have in the past year appointed people to the clubs board whose background is in infrastructure developments, I.E. a new stadium and training ground.
  10. Man City had scrap land all around their stadium that was there for them.
  11. They left last summer, around about this time as it happens.
  12. We also increased our final league position last year from the year Staveley left.
  13. Really? They have doubled the revenue twice. We have signed club record commercial deals, we now have the best outside the top 6 clubs. We are now back into the top 20 revenue generating clubs. The owners have not came in and sold our best players for profit as a revenue stream that clubs like Palace, Brighton, and Brentford have. We are even changing our club badge to a version that is more commercially viable. If the stadium is being built on Leazes Park, or Castle Leazes, we have to get everything we can tied up before going public to win a battle against the eventual protestors. The training ground I guess there is more questions over, but it appears that they are having difficulties finding a suitable site.
  14. People need to relax a bit. The Isak thing is mostly out of our hands if he wants to leave. The stadium and training ground stuff does need to come out this year though, otherwise there is reason to question if they know what they are doing.
  15. Everyone getting their clicks in after not knowing a thing for ages. 24/7 media with the need from everywhere for news creates all this circus.
  16. No idea, something dodgy going on with them. They are apparently wanting to build a multibillion dollar training ground, and have only just opened a new training ground last year.
  17. When we signed the Adidas deal, it was a good deal and just behind the Sky 6. Since then Liverpool have bought out of their Nike Contract to sign with Adidas, and Man City have renewed with Puma with their multi-clubs aside from the MLS team all being included within the deal. The problem is FFP, but we have the top 6 and their fans happy with it because they believe that their past glories should guarantee them a seat at the table. You then have any other club other than us and Villa who are happy just being along for the ride and are gullible enough to believe that it is the challengers who pose a threat, not the established. Until the rest of the football world realise this, nothing will change. The sad thing is that they won’t realise until it’s too late. We have already had project big picture and the ESL thrown at us, and they still believe the clubs wanting to compete and we’re not involved in those back door deals are the ones in the wrong. The saddest part is, is that all these clubs will be happy when the locked Premier League arrives. The top 6 clubs will be happy, and those who end up being fortunate to be locked in, like Crystal Palace, they’ll end up being happy because it means they will forever be a bigger club than Blackburn Rovers. Aside from Aston Villa fans, Man City fans who want the competition, and some Forest fans who think their flash in the pan season is sustainable, absolutely fucking no one in the footballing world is on our side, and they never will be.
  18. We’ve literally had our best season in 70 years. A long awaited trophy, 5th place with Champions League football, and we beat pretty much every established big team (Man City aside).
  19. Aye, that’s the problem. The likes of Brighton and Crystal Palace were happy for the rules because it meant they were safe in the league. They were never going to compete, but they have never competed before, this way they don’t have to spend to pretend that they are. The yanks have seen what they are doing, seen how you can have a closed league system with the likes of the NFL and have came in and said that they want to buy into our football with the object of creating 18-20 clubs who will continuously earn £400m per year once they have established the broadcast deals they have in the USA. Even teams in the NFL who are continuous losers like the Jets and Bills rake in billions, why not Crystal Palace and Brighton?
  20. A week ago we were about to sign Ekitike to play alongside Isak. Now that our transfer plans have had to be pushed back everyone is on the doom wagon again. Yes the communication could be better, but let’s not forget that the last time they tried it, the fans and then the media tried to make out something meant something it didn’t. The stuff we want info on also by FA, Premier League rules, and now by law has to go through the FAB. It is frustrating not to hear about a new training ground, or stadium, but they have to get this right in the communication otherwise everyone oppose to it, will use what they say against them, this is probably more true of the stadium than the training ground. I still believe that for the training ground they are waiting for the land at Longbenton to become available.

    St James' Park

They’ve doubled the commercial revenue twice.

    St James' Park

Now even Benfica are updating their stadium. This all falls in line with what I have previously said about new stadiums from the 90’s and 00’s being due their first major upgrade. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14DSGRbebPZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  23. Probably just a Panathinaikos fan.
  24. Unfortunately there are always people with a bit more money than yourself who are always willing to pay. We’ve heard the argument for years that we need more corporate, and people have dismissed it. The fact that our own regular fans are now annoyed about the cheapest corporate being inaccessible is just further proof to the point. I do agree that if they end up on resale sites, they need to be cancelled and whoever bought them needs to be banned.
