none but one or two the weekend i think balckpool are playing and west brom have a huge derby vs wolves FA Cup weekend isn't it? They've been knocked out. Tonights game would have been on saturday if they got knocked out last round. Aye, thats what I'm saying, it's the FA Cup weekend, but some teams who are out are taking advantage of it by playing their games in hand. Are Bolton out? would have been ideal to play them this weekend instead.

Damn, looks like I'm off to see North Shields play in anyway.

In normal practise I would say the workers should always come first, but when the players on their wages are involved I would say not. However I can't for the life of me see why they avoid paying the tax in anyway, the only reason why you wouldn't pay it here and then is if you are trying to con them.

We can't really compare us to them until the figures for this season come out. We got bankrolled last season, but promotion alone should be enough to see us making a profit or coming close to it.
-
Quinn yesterday pretty much confirmed that they are being bankrolled. If it continues then I can't see how the club will be able to stay afloat, at least not at Premiership level. He even said that if they get another 10k every home game of the season then they will still be short of what is needed. Only adding £2m per year to the club. So pretty much they need to get rid of their high earners, get people in the stadium, and sell a hell of a lot of shirts

So what are the other Premiership fixtures today?
-
Birmingham in the Premiership are awful. The only time I've saw them play any sort of decent football is against Villa, and the 2nd half againstWest Ham in the League Cup. If we get at them then their is no reason why we can't beat them today and in a few weeks time at SJP.
-
If we are leading by more than 1 goal and Oba scores at the end then his goal should be cheered, well thats probably more of a case for the game at SJP. But it should be Lee Clark applauded if he scores without it meaning anything bad against us.

Keep putting it in the dryer. Don't bother though, it will leave a black mark behind it.

I've heard that Shefki has rejected a contract extension. Newcastle offered him Peanuts and he wanted Cookies.

Yes, generally UEFA just give us 4 places, they don't really state who they should go too, we could give them to the conference winners for all they care. Thats how Holland were able to create a play off system for one of their places. It's the same with relegation and and promotion, it's just the fact that the top 2 and the play off winner in the case of promotion are given those places, and the bottom 3 are given the relegation slots in the case of relegation. Also teams in the case of European competitions and promotion can reject their places if they wish.

As I have already said in this thread, our next 6 games or so are all pretty much winnable. I'd like to think that we can use our next 6 games to get to the safety mark. Out of our 12 games left this season we only play 5 teams who are currently above us.

What other way would seeding be? No to the seeding for me, but the rest are good, it's always been that teams supposedly have as much chance of drawing Liverpool away and Accrington Stanley at home, can't leave that... Clubs from league below when drawn against a Prem team automatically play at home like I think they do in the French Cup. The thing is, that would be shit. Part of being in the cup for them is getting to play at the likes of SJP, OT, and Anfield. Having to play one or two home games against a bigger team before you get that chance is shit.

The CL place for the winner seems to be Liverpool's fail safe now. The only negative thing about those plans apart from the KO off time is the fact that the bigger clubs will just list their strongest teams which will just make it even harder to knock them out as they won't be able to go into some games thinking they can win it with their reserves. Also the seeding will lose it's novelty after a few season, seems quite shit how Man Utd won't be able to knock out Liverpool in the 3rd round.
-
The FA are wanting to make changes to the FA Cup for the season beginning 2013. Here is a list of changes. Early rounds will be seeded, not sure if it will just be up until the 3rd round or the 4th round. There will be no replays, all drawn games will go to extra time and then penalties. The final will KO at either 5:15pm or 5:30pm The winners will qualify for the Champions League (taking the 4th place) and the runners up could possibly qualify for the Europa League. Also rumoured is a Premier League type squad list so no club play a weak team against lesser teams then a stronger team once the seeding has gone.

50-55? You think we will win another 5 games?? f*** a duck. If we win 3 i will be pleased and think we will stay up. Its not that hard to believe. To be fair, our next 6 games are games we could get all 3 points out of if we play to our best. We arn't going to win all 6 of them, but we do have a pretty decent run in.

In January time I said the key games for us after Wigan and West Ham are Birmingham home and away, Wolves, and Blackpool. These are the game we must win, and if we can't win then we must not lose. As it happens we have gained a few creditable draws in the last few games which helps us. But 3 wins from those 4 games is a must.

Fuck. Who scored? Kuqi.

Is the Australian league becoming the new MLS?

I'd like to know what his definition of success is. Imagine if Ashley said he despises us? Riot inducing. No there not, its free entry to a pub, the drinks are cheaper and you can sup 4 pints during one match then head home. Much cheaper then going to watch premier league football. Prices are to high. End of. Sunderland's ticket prices are much lower than ours. Anyway he is right, how many people will actually go to the pub just to watch the scores come in at 3pm, or games on a foreign channel? Most of them will come in before hand to get a good place at the bar, or even watch the early KO, then some will stay for a fe more pints, and often will watch the late KO. In most cases people will spend about the same price as a match ticket at the pub if not more.

Random. Don't know if you've been before but the Keepmoat is shit. Proper out of town flatpack job. I have family there who I'm going to see. Anyway a friend of mine lives there, Celtic fan originally from Glasgow. We agreed to go to a Newcastle game or two when we were in the Championship because a few away games where near Doncaster. That never happened so we are off to see Doncaster. As far as I recall, the Keepmoat isn't that far out of the town centre, infact it's located next to the Cinema which can't get into the town centre because of the lack of space. It's one of those flatpack jobs, but Donny Rovers were only a Conference side a few years ago, so not bad for them.

I've just woken up from a dream where it was pretty shit for the first 20 minutes or so, then we go 2-0 up in a couple of minutes thanks to Shola. The 2nd is a screamer. I don't know how it finishes as my alarm clock woke me up.

I wish WBA would pick a league and stick with it. Anymore antics and they should be forced to join the SPL.
