What? Name a country that plays as a club team and not a national one. It's easy. Monaco? Yes.

Geremi is playing, I give it 15 minutes before Hughton out is shouted.

A country (of a sort) to play as a club?
-
Athens?
-
The only other one I can think of is Madrid.

Hmm, Arsenal, Sc***horpe, theirs a dirty pattern here. Is Sunderland the last one?
-
Arsenal is one.

Rangers win 2-1.

Was it just me or did Gers have the same tune as we have, when the players came out of the tunnel in the second half?

Even thoguh Ashley has been a disater for us, I still find myself wanting him to hold on untill someone else comes along. Moat does not not have the resources to run the club, he's struggling to get moeny together to buy it. It's like buying a sports car without any money to run it, or a house, without any money for fuel bills, and the shopping etc.

I've only just turned the game on. I missed the Gers goals. I rather like Gers, I was hopeing to get tickets for the game, from a friend of mine who is a football agent, and is also on the books as a scout at an English club, unfortunatly all the scout tickets had gone.

Damn, 2-1 Cmon Gers.

I'm disapointed we didn't win. It was a good chance to go a little further clear, now we find ourselves in a position where one set of games could change a whole lot. Anyway, if we see it a 1 point gained, then it's good.

But stil had to use facilities of Newcastle as part of the bid, and a picture of the Tyne. Ever wounderd where the "surrounding area"? is when they say Wearside and the surrounding area.... in their world cup bid page.

Lets hope we win this game. 5 points clear, going into the weekend, 7 of 3rd place. That is if we win. We have to take these chances when they come along, I don't think WBA will actually drop many points this season, it maybe a case of on any other season they would of finished top, if it wasn't for us. -
I don't think thats right, I just see it as The FA, FIFA, and Uefa are going to see it thewe do, everyone will be using Newcastle's facilities if it was hosted in Albania, and Newcastle has a larger stadium, known world wide, so we know that it would be stupid for anyone to take Albania over Newcastle. However I only think the mackems want it, is to have one over us.
-
Houghton isn't a manager, he has shown that already this season when having to make tough decisions when we were a goal behind in games, and the inclusion of Butt speaks volumes. I don't want Shearer here either, I think we need stability and experience. For me the two names who come to mind are Strachan and Bilic.

What are Sunderlands next fixtures?, say the next 6, I'm just interested, to see where they can (hopefully lose points). I wouldn't say I'd want them to go down, us coming up is more important, if they go down that would be a bonus, not that I can see it happening though, Hull and Portsmouth have each claimed a relegation spot, and their is a few worse then Sunderland to fill the last relegation spot. Anyway, I have Keogh (or whatever he is called) in my dream team, so a hatrick today for him wouldn't go a miss. Nice to see Darren Bent having a Skysports interview in a Newcastle bar though . ALso nice for Skysports to say twice that Sunderland are the only Premiership team in the NE now, but atleast they brought those smb's back down to ground when he said the last time that happpend, Sunderland went down. Same again please.

I'm watching match of the day now, just to laugh at them. Anyway, does anyone else think that the Premiership and MOTD is more enjoyable now, that we don't have to hope for other results to go our way, and we arn't watching us play poorly?

3-0 We will be too tough, it may take us a little while to get a goal and break them down, but as soon as they do, I feel they will fall apart. They have never really lived up to the hype from last year when they were bought, kind of similar to Nott's County, and hopefully Man City. -
I am rather surprised that we won with such a high-ish score line, without ever really getting going. Yes Ipswich are near the bottom of the table, but I was still expecting it be rather close, or atleats closer then what happend. Butt was appaling. What I did find good about us and surprising was our ability to switch/pass the ball from one wing to the other with one pass, and alot of them accuratly, something which we tried and failed so many times last year.

If we win today, then I will be over the moon with this weekend's results, regardless of how them who shall not be named get on tomorrow. Just seeing Hull and Phil Brown fail is good in my eyes, a team who are the 3rd best supported club in their own city staying up at our expense, with a mackem manager, they will forever be hated in my eyes, even though I was supporting them in their play off final (simply because they were the most Northern team).

Just to point out another error in that article, if they did go into administration, then it will only be a 9 point deduction, because they are in the Premier League.
