Brighton repeatedly sell their best players at the first opportunity, and have arguably taken a step backwards since their European qualification a couple of seasons ago. I can’t see their supporters sticking by them in any of those scenarios, nor can I see their owner throwing them the money required to build a squad that could compete further up the Premier League. If they do go up, he’ll likely sell to the first American consortium who get in contact with him.
