I know that their arse has fell out in the last few games, but I honestly think they’ll go up. I think the only team they couldn’t beat would have been Burnley. Of course it would be hilariously funny if Coventry knock them out, or they lost in the final again. If they do come up though I couldn’t really give a fuck. I’d be nervous ahead of the derby because they are fluky enough to beat us, and you can guarantee that they’ll be given us after a midweek European tie. However over the course of the season, we won’t be anywhere fucking near them. We will be doing different things. We will be trying to assemble a squad that can compete for a title challenge in a few years, they will be trying to assemble a squad that can hang onto a Premier League place for when the Premier League decide to close shop.
  2. Will they offer better wages? Even with their takeover aren’t they still going to be close to PSR limits? New stadium aside, theirs nothing really all that positive about the club at the minute, and no real indication that they will be finishing above Brentford any time soon. If Brentford keep a hold of Thomas Frank, I think their ceiling for the time being is better than Everton’s, even more so if they sneak that last European place.
  3. So many empty seats at the Emirates, and they want to extend to 80k.
  4. Genuine question, why would any player leave Brentford for Everton right now?
  5. Not really weeks ago. I mean if we drew with Villa instead of getting hammered, we’d be in a much better position, but we had won something like 6 games on the bounce by then and Villa was our 3rd game in a week. You don’t often get 7 game winning streaks, or even 7 games unbeaten, plus the 3 games afterwards that would have been required. Since the beginning of December, our form has been insane to be honest.
  6. Doncaster are Champions of League 2. To be fair, the promotion and play off spots across the EFL are heavily weighted by Northern and midlands teams.
  7. I was tempted to put Palace in there with them to be honest.
  8. Aye, that’s nice, we get a nice midweek away match to Bristol in December.
  9. So if we beat Brighton tomorrow, the lowest we could finish is 7th, which if Man City win the FA Cup, means we get Europa League football at the least.
  10. Fulham just fucking stopped at the end there, fucking dicks. Has there ever been a more fucking pointless club?
  11. As it stands, Coventry play Sunderland in the semi-finals of the play offs.
  12. For those in the USA, is it not possible to get it sent to someone here in the U.K., and they send it over to the USA, or are they going through parcels as well?
  13. Absolutely no one there behind the goal where the safe standing is, and huge gaps elsewhere.
  14. This weekend is not a free hit like. It puts us in a much better position, but it’s not a free hit.
  15. No. They have made the exact same one for Olympiacos as well.
  16. I’d prefer the round castle badge. The 80’s (70’s style) one looks good on retro shirts, but I wouldn’t want it as a full time logo.
  17. This is. Elric’s kit next season apparently. This will be how the Northumbrian tartan is displayed in my opinion.
  18. I doubt it. They will want a marketing campaign to go with the launch.
  19. It all comes back to SJP not being big enough, and even a 65k capacity stadium isn’t going to be big enough.
  20. I’d rather go for Kubo. Real Sociedad might have no European football at all next season, so I could see them being tempted by an offer which wouldn’t be as much as what a Premier League club would want for one of their players. The same applies to that Bournemouth CB, rather take a gamble on of the defenders from someone like Sporting Lisbon, than pay over the odds for him.
  21. In terms of property, the Rueben brothers own about 20% of Newcastle City Centre. They owned an area of the city that has long been forgotten about and neglected. I think in the wider context they wanted leverage in order to push through what they wanted to do, not that I think they would have needed it. I also think most of it is lead by Jamie, he see’s what everyone else see’s. Football wealth is going to explode as soon as a direct to consumer streaming deal is allowed and potentially the end of the 3pm KO’s. Not to mention if some sort of ESL or closed Premier League ever happens. I also think unlike his father and uncle, he has more of an ego that needs to filled. He wants to have a reason for his mates to hang round with him more and to show off to people who are already incredibly wealthy. This on top of the fact that I think he wants to be seen as more successful than his father and uncle, and what better way of increasing wealth then getting in on football before it’s next boom? It is the same reason as to why he was also allegedly interested in buying the New York Jets NFL team.
