  1. Chelsea have been the same since Mourinho left. They hope to have enough of a new manager bounce with good players to win something before having to bin the manager off and go again. Nothing sustainable aside from throwing money at players.
  2. One of the reasons why I wanted Everton down. A new stadium with the right manager and Everton could be like us and Villa and compete for European places. If they got relegated they could have just fell away never to return again.
  3. Everton are 9th as it stands.
  4. Most of them are banking on coming back up at some point.
  5. Out of the play-off contenders, I’d probably prefer them. It’s not a football fairytale as their owners have put in significant amounts of money into the club, which has blown out all the clubs in the leagues they have played in except for Birmingham than last season. They also get a level of coverage and interest that will never be replicated again. For the club and town though, I feel that despite them being a Welsh town, they have a lot more in common with the surrounding areas of the North West of England than they do with the rest of Wales. Even in sport they always seem to have been a football town over a rugby town. They have suffered a lack of jobs and decline many in the North East and North in general have seen/experienced themselves. I think of them and their town it is a fairytale.
  6. Low key hate them. For as much as we have a go at the likes of Palace, and Brighton who are happy to just be in the Premier League, Fulham seem to have always went under the radar of the same thing.
  7. Lincoln City are now only 4 points off promotion to the Championship. They have an opportunity to achieve it over the Easter weekend where they play on Good Friday, and Easter Monday.
  8. Burnley winning, that’s good for us.
  9. The current play-off options are poor. Ipswich which apart from the SBR connection is just a dull away day. Millwall, does anyone anywhere want to play against them? Southampton, urgh, boring. Hull, boring but not too far as an away day, a good option for Boxing Day maybe?
  10. We notably beat Liverpool last season. Although going over 30 years not winning at Klanfield is poor.
  11. Good, fuck South Shields.
  12. Massive opportunity for Coventry later considering the 3 teams immediately below them all drew in the early KO’s.
  13. 8th is very likely a European place in anyway, it depends on who wins the FA Cup, but the favourites should all finish within the top 7 regardless.
  14. Like I say, with the money he’s had I’d be happy with my nice house, with nice things, nice car on the drive, not needing to go to work ever again, a camper-van to travel in. If the world ever felt too much for me, I could just go home and chill out and not react to it. He’s just a fucking thug, I know compared to a lot of people I’m not that sociable, but a lot of people are very sociable and they don’t get in locked in the aggro he does. He’s got to be going out of his way to get involved in the shit he does.
  15. He’s had far too many chances. He’s had every opportunity as well, after already being in prison, and having the money he’s made from football, you’d think he would just sit comfortably in his nice house surrounded by nice things.
  16. The Conference League offers us a chance of increasing our coefficient ranking, which in turn gives you more money for future UEFA qualifications. Crystal Palace this year have so far added 17.357 to their score, and they have had a poor time really, failing to win 6 games. They still have potentially 5 more games to go as well. The Conference League may not be as lucrative as other European football, but it gives us a chance of gaining more money from future European football, and gives us a realistic chance of winning more silverware, and with it qualification for the Europa League.
  17. There is an estimated 3 hours between the end of the derby game, and KO to this game. You could easily attend both games, let alone sit at home watching them both.

    He’s not wrong.
  19. That will be the last extension of that deal. Arsenal for example sold home seats next to the away fans for £70 back when the initiative started. Ay the very least, it will end up being raised to £50.
  20. What do you expect them to do? We lost a game against a team who have had 70’s years of outspending us. Do they have to make an announcement after every defeat?
  21. I’ve said it before, but I honestly don’t think Bruno gets a move upwards now. He’s a great player, but he’s not Real Madrid good, and at the age of 29, Man Utd should be looking at the next Bruno. I can believe rumours about Tonali, and Livramento. I can believe that some teams might look at Osula and think they can get something out of him, or some Turkish team will be stupid enough to pay us what we paid for Wissa. I can believe that there will be massive interest in Hall, although I doubt his interest in a move right now. I find it hard to believe that any team is looking at Bruno and thinking that there is value in him at £80m-£100m.

It seems like the club will be borrowing the money for the new stadium/upgrades. In that case it’s not a case of them not having the money to just spend. Additionally, it’s well known that the TV rights are undervalued, largely because of the 3pm blackout, but for other reasons as well. Once that situation has cleared, the value of Premier League teams will sky rocket. This is why Chelsea’s owners are throwing money at them hoping it sticks. It’s why in recent years the owners of Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, and Spurs have resisted takeover attempts.

So this is why I couldn’t find a link, because it’s news about upgrades for now to SJP that we knew about 2 weeks ago?
