  1. Boro doing all they can to remain a Championship club.
  2. On top of this, Man Utd, Liverpool, and others like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, and PSG all have deals signed up. Even the likes of Arsenal have long term deals, and Man City won’t be moved from Etihad. Chelsea seemingly want to be impossible to deal with. There is a limited amount of clubs who can give you world wide exposure, we are probably one of them.
  3. It’s now up to the Premier League to argue that it’s not FMV, as long as a company is willing to pay a fee, I think it would be hard to prove otherwise, especially if other offers were close to the winning bid.
  4. Fair market value is applied to all deals regardless of ownership relationship or not.
  5. If Hartlepool had managed to get a winner against Rochdale, then so long as Gateshead won their next 2 games, they could have lost that final game considering the goal difference swing that would have been needed.
  6. Hebburn are top, but Man Utd protest group are 2 points behind with a game in hand. A last minute stoppage time goal for York City means they are 2 points clear of the National League with 101 points. @Yorkie
  7. Lincoln City promoted to the Championship.
  8. Makes you wonder why Sage never sponsored us, wasn’t one of the founders a Newcastle fan? Owns Close House as well.
  9. During lockdown I read a book by a former Coca Cola CEO. Before he became the CEO he was the head of the African region and they were wanting him to go to South America and talk to the head of the South American region. Apparently they were wanting him out as he never took part in group calls, and wanted to spend $1m on one purchase. It turns out the guy said he could hardly speak English and that they knew that when they employed him that Spanish and Portuguese were his main languages. Also, the $1m he wanted to spend was for the title sponsor of the Brazilian football league. The guy writing the book was saying that he had to go back to the Coca Cola CEO at the time and explain how much of steal paying only $1m for the sponsorship of the league was, like they were literally going to be called the Coca Cola Brazilian Liga. So in answer to your question, probably the price.
  10. I’d be very surprised. As someone else has said, they don’t tend to do main club sponsorship in Europe. They have sponsored leagues before, and are a Premier League sponsor. We were rumoured to sign them as a drinks sponsor last year alongside Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Man Utd, but it didn’t happen.
  11. It’s a 26k capacity stadium that is probably the height of Inter Miami’s popularity. So by the standard of some stadiums being built, it is a bit underwhelming, however Brentford would walk over hot coals to have that stadium over theirs, the same could be said of the new NYCFC stadium being built as well. In terms of facilities, they both shot all over the G-tech, and that’s also considering that the G-tech is only a 6 year old stadium.
  12. The women have their own DOF installed in the summer or just after the summer. We have recently got a new manager as well. It hasn’t been left to drift, but the transfer activity of the last 2 summers leaves a lot to be desired. We have basically bought lasses who were no longer good enough for WSL clubs, who are getting 1 last payday and are not good enough for the challenge. There also doesn’t seem to be a leader in the squad either.

  14. Apple logo would be fucking mint.
  15. To be fair that came from one of those ITK social media accounts, so probably Burnsie. I do thought want to believe that we’ll have the Apple logo on our shirt over ‘Intuitive AI’.
  16. Rumours are it’s a world renowned American computer company.
  17. The Guardian are today saying that our Sela deal expires this summer.
  18. That should be about £10k in entry fee’s for the club. You’d like to think that a fair few drinks and snacks were sold as well.
  19. It doesn’t happen because selling clubs like to maximise interest and price. Agents like to maximise club interest so they stand a chance of getting a bigger. On top of this we have the World Cup this year which means the majority of top level players will either be at the World Cup, or be dependant on moves that will happen as a result of the players at the World Cup moving clubs.
  20. Why the fuck are Southampton playing in their away shirt when they are at home to Arsenal?
  21. I wish him well. A great singing for us, but he’s never been able to cope with more than 1 game a week for us. The signs have been there for us that it’s time for us and him to move before he becomes a liability due to us holding onto him for too long.
  22. North Shields beat Whitley Bay 2-1.
