He’s been poor to be honest. He used to have strength to hold players off whilst he ran towards goal, now he’s not doing that. That’s his only route to a goal as well. The criticism is valid to be honest.

If memory serves me right, we were the much better team in the 1st half. The 2nd half was all them, and they should have scored and win the game, but we scored twice late on.

In all fairness, he did at times have a tendency to make the last bit of movement which would put him in a good position. Say for example he had the ball in a central position, then passed it wide, he wouldn’t make that run into the box behind the defender to receive the ball again. He also suffered by not having a clearly defined position. He wasn’t a forward, yet wasn’t a wide a player. Nor was he a true number 10 either. He’s essentially wasted his career, he could have been so much better. Maybe he never had the right coach, maybe he never had the desire. I don’t know the answer, but I’d like to think that he had the ability to be better. Maybe going back to Spain will help him.

For all intents and purposes Wallsend is Newcastle. They split up the council areas some decades ago to basically gerrymeand. It wasn’t that long ago that Wallsend was in the Newcastle East constituency, and has now moved over into North Tyneside. Wallsend is just a suburb of Newcastle, same as all of North Tyneside, same as Gateshead, South Tyneside, and parts of Northumberland in reality. For what it’s worth, large parts of North Tyneside actually has Newcastle upon Tyne in their official address. It’s quite possible that Wallsend still does and that’s where the guy you spoke too is coming from.

Eh? If I who live in North Shields aren’t allowed to support Newcastle under their rules because it is too far, then how are people from Darlington allowed to support either club? I’ve said it before, they think someone from North Shields shouldn’t support Newcastle because it’s too far and not in the same council area, yet think someone in Spennymoor should have a season ticket for them.
