Just VVD leaning in with an elbow.

Liverpool have been accused of playing like this all season, and when you watch them, they generally are. I don’t think they are as good as people make out. They are the average Champions in reality.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if we did to be honest, we should have scored 2 goals this half in anyway.
-
This. Honestly, if Liverpool play like this in the final, then we can beat them.
-
It’s not as bad as people are making out. Sloppy goal to give away, and we should have scored 2 ourselves.
-
Fucking take him off and never play him again.
-
Jota is holding him as well.
-
We better not extent Wilson’s contract like.
-
Every bit of luck these cunts.
-
Wellbeck has just scored the exact same goal as he did against us.
-
Absolutely no chance he’s under pressure.
-
Surely some of them are at that point already?

I’m going to guess that the planning process will take 18 months to 2 years alone. Spurs took about 10 years all in all, it took them years to get a CPO on a business, and then years to get through the planning process. Everton’s has taken years to get going.

They have been teasing that they are making decision soon for quite a while, and that more details will come out. The soon can keeps getting kicked down the road. Even if they are just telling fans the details of the 2 options, just let us know.
-
I think fans are just going to start getting pissed off if we keep hearing whispers but never getting details. I was saying in a group chat yesterday that we need to hear more details soon. We need to have confirmation of where the new stadium will be, capacity numbers, other details, and tenders etc. If we keep just getting snippets, then all we are doing is continuing to argue over hypotheticals, which won’t help the fanbase move forward on the issue. Those who want to stay will continue to want to stay, those who want to move will continue to want to move, and we’ll all be arguing over details that we don’t know. We have had 2 years of a stadium move being discussed, we have had the club saying the smallest things to supporters whilst saying that more detail will come very soon. Make a fucking decision, tell the fans, move the fuck on.

Let’s change that next month.

Surely top bins isn’t getting saved.

Those cases would be extremely rare, compared to penalties given against a team like what happened to Nottingham Forest yesterday.

We do like. We like to say that our clubs are part of the community. The thing is though, in reality it’s not. A community has grown around NUFC, but if you don’t like football (NUFC), then NUFC doesn’t offer you any benefit. Residents of our city and region be able to attend concerts and events that otherwise wouldn’t come here is a way of giving something to non-football fans. The stadium offering a good restaurant and café in Leazes Park making it so more people can enjoy the park gives something back to everyone in the city. Hosting these events and having local businesses thrive because of them would help create jobs and stimulate our economy. Right now, SJP is a venue that offers nothing to the community outside of NUFC supporters, even that a growing number are locked out, other than the food bank that is there on a matchday.
-
Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren't you originally in the camp of staying at SJP? I know pre-takeover and early days of the takeover, I was excited about the prospect of an expanded SJP. I just can’t see how it’s viable now. SJP has been left behind, and short of rebuilding it, which can’t happen for various reasons, it’s not going to give us what we want. More pressingly, as someone who has been to hundreds of games, and even when I had season tickets etc, I always tried to get to at least 1 match per season, if not more. I’m now in a position where I hardly get to go because of the demand, and there are others just like me. SJP does offer us what we thought it could in the pre-takeover and early days of the takeover. The club has missed chances on numerous things in the past, the Leazes Park stadium from the 90’s. The expanded SJP from the mid 2000’s, the takeovers that happened to Chelsea, and Man City. We eventually got our takeover, now we need the stadium.
-
Nah. We will never ever get this opportunity again. SJP can’t be converted into a world class venue that can be used for other events, can bring in a significant amount of more fans, and matchday revenue. We have people with the money and ability to do that, whilst still overlapping on SJP or moving only a couple of hundred yards away from SJP. As they have said, they are not going to be writing 2 cheques.

If the ball is coming at you and you wish to prevent it with your arms, you aren’t really going to be sticking your elbow out as your more instinctive move would be to stick your hand or arm out. Also if you stick your elbow out, then that in turn would bring your forearm and hand out with it, thus increasing the chances of it hitting either of those. The chances are that if it hits your elbow or upper arm, the ball is either going to hit your shoulder or the side of your body in anyway, and you have no ability to control the ball with it hitting your upper arm or elbow. I think we have done far too many changes to handball recently, from everything is handball, to the T-shirt rule, and now the armpit rule. The obvious and easiest way to both prevent people from controlling the ball with a hand or arm, and being able to measure where it hit correctly is by just using the forearm & hands method.

I’ll stand corrected if and when that happens.

They have got to go to the FAB meeting first. No one who attends the FAB meeting are saying how much they know of the plans or not, or if they have seen images etc. I actually don’t think that well here anything official from the club this side of the cup final. As it happens, the weekend after the cup final is an international break, so it might be a good idea to release the information then. That way people are able to focus on it, and the discussion and the media attention won’t be getting in the way of fixtures.
