Yeah. My mackem season ticket holder friend was just saying to me that no one could buy the club through a leveraged deal because the trust fund kid has 1st refusal and would just buy the shares himself. Well if he has 1st refusal then surely he already knows about this deal and has presumably rejected the chance to buy them?
  2. It’s a good move for him. He’s been decent for us and someone who I wouldn’t be against staying as a utility player.

So what is stopping me from buying a token and having a say in their club?

    Fixtures (2022/23)

Either Arsenal or spurs at home for the 1st game, and then Fulham away for the last game. Boxing day will be away to either Man City, Liverpool, or somewhere where we usually lose.

    Reece James is fucking shit.

Honestly looked like it. I only just looked up at the time.

I had my TV on mute and was only half watching but it looked like a Hungary player (who looked like he was being subbed off) had his arm in the Nazi salute position and his finger over his top lip to look like he had a tash. I can’t rewind as I’m watching online.

I’m sorry, did that Hungary player do a Nazi salute?
  9. Did he fuck, he ran a club with minimal spending so he could funnel money out of it by getting 3rd parties (which were his mates companies) to do everything that could be outsourced, as well as using it as a billboard for his brands. The thing is, buyers like companies that have minimal outlays, but that’s just a coincidence in this scenario. He only sold us because Rafa had just left, and Bruce was the only manger willing to work for him, and he was out of his depth and he knew sooner or later we would get relegated, and this time we would likely not return. He had to cash out when he did. I still maintain that had the pandemic not had hit, then we would have been relegated sooner. After the lockdowns in the 1st season, a lot of teams came back not giving a fuck which allowed us to win points we normally wouldn’t. The second season, he was massively helped by the fact that fans were not allowed in the stadium. It is no coincidence that this season, which was the 1st normal season under Bruce, was the season where we were certainly going down.
  10. If Fun88 were staying as sponsors than the initial shirts that were leaked would have had the sponsor on.
  11. We should have been all over that since Botman seemingly wants to move to Milan.

Complete an utter myth. I think there is/was some of them in Ashington because they moved there for the mines. Northumberland is very much ours, going towards the borders and even a little bit of southern Scotland. In fact the 2nd team behind us towards the borders is probably Hearts, and of course you get your typical Man Utd dickhead everywhere you go.

Aye, not a chance. I think the fact that the Sunderland owners had a fans talk in there has skewed the perception. From what I make of it, it’s mostly Newcastle fans. You could argue Boldon and Fellagate are more Sunderland than Newcastle, but not Jarrow.
  14. Yeah, as much as I don’t wear football shirts unless I’m playing football, watching a match, or lounging around it, it seems to be a bit of a dickhead move to complain about people getting them. Lets say these adults didn’t buy a shirt and went to the match, instead you will get people salting them for wearing either Chav like clothes or people going to a football match wearing a smart shirt. There is no way to win really, just look at everyone having a pop at people wearing Stone Island stuff. Again it’s not something that I would personally wear, but just lay off people. On top of this, shirts are likely the biggest non-match revenue a football club makes, buying them helps fund players and wages, alongside everything else going on at clubs. Ok that may not be so much of a case for Premeir League clubs, but for others it’s a huge deal, and even for some Premier League clubs it can be the difference of making 1 more singing or a players wages.
  15. Weren’t they rumoured to be interested in Santos when our takeover was 1st revealed in 2020?
  16. But a loan/debt can be and is often primarily used to cover a loss within football.

Aye, I’ve came up against a few mackems who have said that I have no right to Support NUFC because I I was born at Rake Lane, grew up in Backworth until my teens where I moved to and lived in North Shields since (except for a year in Jesmond) because I’m not from Newcastle. However everyone in Spennymoor should be season ticket holders at the SOL.

It’s weird because Geordie is actually someone from Tyneside (including Newcastle) Novocastarian is someone from Newcastle (City centre). Not like them to let facts get in the way of an argument.
  19. Yeah, however what is also baffling is that they and FFP allow Man Utd to be bought for £600m (now £1bn) of debt to buy themselves, and they are somehow self sufficient and comply with FFP rules, yet other clubs are getting slated for even checking their available credit lines. ‘Big debt is ok for small clubs because we don’t care if they go to the wall, and big debt is ok for big clubs because we will just allow them to keep financing, however if any non big club has debt or is given money that remotely gives them a chance or upsetting the big clubs, then that’s not on’.
  20. So wait, he teamed up with the fake prince and was going to use a high interest loan to buy us, which presumably would have been tied to us. Aye, £350m at Wonga rates would have been amazing for us and not have meant we would be busy within 5 years.
  21. That’s wrong. Saudia and Aramco were first rumoured since it was revealed that PIF were behind a takeover bid for us at the back end of 2019/beginning of 2020.
  22. I agree, but if it is still Fun88, would they just not sell sponsor-less ones in Saudi Arabia?
  23. Some Twitter ITK wannabe was saying he’s heard that it’s Lucid cars. It’s a decent shout as it happens as PIF have invested heavily in them and they are building a factory in Saudi Arabia.
