Yeah, he was poor and as much as I defended him in the past, he needs to be moved on.

Forests’ squad was pretty shit to be honest. They managed to find a manager who got the very best out of them and they rode on the back of good form. Had they not invested, they would have went down in last place and you wouldn’t have been surprised if they had given the record low points a good run for it’s money. They had to invest, but when you bring so many players in you really do just wonder if they are just trying to get everyone on their scouts watchlist without really paying too much attention, and hoping enough of them are good enough, or if they have actually done their work properly.

With Barca it’s even more tricky. They are a symbol of Catalan, where they are typically supported by Catalan separates, where as Espanyol their local rivals are typically supported by remainers. Iy would be political suicide for any sort of Spanish authority to wind up Barca.

He was a really good player when he was here, and when he showed up. I wouldn’t want him back though, rather develop someone or buy someone with more of a future ahead of themselves, and someone who did my jump ship out of the club as soon as he could.

In terms of the Arsenal game last season and recent games against big teams where we have got a result, I think is down to us smelling blood. Arsenal last year were not in the greatest of form, despite being so high up in the league there were performances where you think they are questionable in quality. We on the other hand were in form, and our poor players were turning in good performances. It meant that we had the prospect of an upset, even though it was predictable by anyone who had seen both teams play recently. In Ashley years, and especially the later stages, I think it’s always been a case that in reality we are only a couple of players away from where the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd are. Even though Ashley wouldn’t sanction those deals, it has been a case of if their big name players don’t turn up, then there is nothing separating us really. Often it has been a case of their big name players not showing up in matches building up to our games, and our crowd and fan base feeding off that.

Thing is now that tickets are in demand, it leaves open the chance for season ticket holders to get an extra ticket that they don’t need and to sell it on above market value. With a member, you know they are likely buying for themselves. Yes for cup games, and friendlies give them a priority/chance to get their own seat.
