Middlesbrough have lost on penalties, so as it stands Newcastle win the group on goal difference, a goal for Gateshead though and I think they drop out of the top 2 qualifying places.

4-2 up now, I think as it stands they finish in the top 2 due to goal difference.

I work a lot in Sunderland, basically one of our plants is on their port, and we have a contract with the local council. As much as they may not go to games, they fucking have a load of shirts and shit. That away shirt they have this season has got to be the best selling shirt they have ever had, absolutely fucking all of them are wearing it, the training jacket as well. Probably not enough on it’s own, and the case remains to be seen if they will do the same next year where they likely won’t have a retro style away shirt/jacket to sell, or one that may not be as popular.

    St James' Park

Potentially have a new cup on display, so therefor may increase the price due to the demand from those who want to see it.
  6. This is anchoring, well you can change what happens to the money after certain amount of time, but basically that’s what anchoring does, and it was rejected by the top 6, Man City aside.
  7. If the Premier League introduced a salary cap though, La Liga would just increase theirs to above ours, just so that they could get that competitive edge over us. I don’t see how a salary cap would work,,as you have already said, the anchoring is the way to go about it.
  8. The yanks want a closed Premier League and possibly a closed ESL because it guarantees them money. No chance of going down. To put things into perspective, the new San Diego MLS franchise owners paid the same amount to the MLS for the franchise rights, than Everton were sold for. The Everton deal included paying off all their debt, a new stadium, the training ground, the staff, the players, and one of the longest established fanbases in the sport. The San Diego deal was just for the right to start a team in the city. Everything else has to be added on top of that.
  9. We won’t get a salary cap, both ECHR and British law would be on it if a salary cap was introduced. Also the Premier League would be terrified that a league such as La Liga would become more dominant overtime.
  10. Tries to take them both out, but gets tagged out for someone else so he can be carried off by his mates.
  11. That’s what happens when you look like a 50 year old marketing executive who’s on the lunch time Starbucks run in an American 80’s movie.
  12. In all fairness, I do think it’s right Amorim gets given time to rebuild the club. I also think that the fact he hasn’t had a new manager bounce effect, just shows the fact that the majority of players have checked out. In saying that I think saying he’s not going to change and he’s only got 1 plan, makes him sound like Ange who is unwilling to change to fit games and is very limited. I understand his true meaning was he’s got a plan, and it’s going to take time to get everyone on board with it and for it to take effect, but he’s worded it badly. In saying this, I hope he is actually like Ange and will relentlessly make the same mistakes over and over again.
  13. Going to say it now, if that’s true then it’s very poor, however if his grandad has dementia and isn’t able to do basic things like scan in etc, then the club should be saying that he needs carer to go with him. Not a chance that I would want someone I know being in that position.
  14. The most underrated goal of all time.

I don’t know why it quoted your post, your post wasn’t the one I quoted.
  16. Neither will be good for any period of time. You could argue that Brighton have peaked with the season they finished in the European places, Bournemouth are still yet to do that, but I even if they did, I don’t think they would be achieving it consistently. The competition is too fierce, they’ll likely sell their best players soon enough, as well as their manager, and they have a stadium that has a capacity of about 11k. They have nowhere to go in regard to PSR without selling players. Neither club are making a mockery out of PSR, in fact it’s because of PSR which is the reason that once they have had a season or 2 of peaking, they won’t be doing anything other than propping up mid table in future.

We don’t have to sell anyone. We are on course to be complaint this season unless we bought someone in January, then we would have to sell to buy.
  18. Drury has just repeated the lie about Man City needing a 6 goal win to go above us. Alwaus thought the people they have on TV were thick as fuck, it not being able to do simple maths like the difference between 9 and 12 is just beyond belief.
  19. Drury is thick as fuck. Man City only needed a 3-0 win to be above us, not 6. Fucking stupid cunt.
  20. I’m not so sure. I mean they a decent sized club, but I feel like if they weren’t located in London they wouldn’t be anywhere near as big as they are.
  21. They would be fucked. There squad doesn’t have the depth, and their owner is one of the poorest in the league and couldn’t put all that much in, even if it’s allowed under PSR.
  22. Aye, comes across as a good bloke, so does Mick McCarthy.
  23. All the more reason why they shouldn’t be making the mistake a 2nd time.
  24. As much as I think it would be best to get rid of him and he doesn’t have a future at Spurs, it would a stupid move to get rid of him whilst they have that goal advantage over Liverpool going into their 2nd leg.

He’s never looked good for us. Cash in, go for one of those defenders from Sporting Lisbon who are highly rated and have room for improvement.
