  1. It’s what I would have done to be honest. I would also have tried to get Elliot off then, got that signed off, then fucked then off.
  2. I can help but think that’s a shocking transfer for them. Deadline day desperation, as well as being a big name to try and placate their fans after selling off some fan favourites.
  3. £30m for him sounds like we are ripping Villa off. We’d still need another even after Wissa though.

    Yoane Wissa

£55m is too high like. Rather go and break the bank for someone like Samu with a much higher potential. I’m also not a fan of how he’s acted, between him and Isak they have now developed a pathway for players to engineer moves away. We and football would be better off not going ahead with either deal.
  5. Prison is the answer. The only real threat to people not committing major crimes like that is prison and nothing to do with morals. It’s what makes sociopaths so dangerous, the threat of losing their freedom is no threat to them.
  6. Doesn’t get paid by clubs and agents though.
  7. Was cars and everything, including devices that had access to his online banking.
  8. A stadium takes a while to plan. Spurs’ took years before they even announced specifics plans. I do agree that we need to hear something soon though. I also agree on the CEO situation.
  9. There is no way it wasn’t an inside job, especially as it was him who was repeatedly targeted as well.
  10. There is no chance that it would hold up in court that he’s been loyal, his social media post last week would have been the final nail in that scenario. We should have agreed to the deal and at the last minute told him that he’s not getting his bonus, and that we’ll take him to court, with it being up to him if he wants to sign for Liverpool or not.
  11. He kept getting robbed for things like watches and other small personal items that had just bought. They knew exactly where these items were hidden in the house, and that they would be there when he was out, I mean who the fuck buys a brand new watch costing thousands and doesn’t wear it outside and leaves it in the house? His agent has massive ties to organised crime both in Sweden and across Europe. Are you seriously suggesting that it wasn’t an inside job?
  12. Absolute none. If you can just buy yourselves out of contracts that easily, then transfer fees wouldn’t be a thing.
  13. Man City also had a huge amount of wasteland right outside their stadium though. The thing is though, if we go ahead with the rumoured 70k capacity stadium, then our long term future is better than Liverpools. On the next 5-10 years Liverpool will outdo us. However they have built 2 new stands at Anfield. The facilities are nowhere near what other clubs have or are proposing, even with their final phase yet to commence, if it ever will. They can’t even host Euro 28 games there, can’t ever host a UEFA final there, and are starting to lose out to the concerts etc to Everton’s stadium. Their match-day revenue compared to other teams is going to sky fall. Spurs do well, Arsenal are about to throw money at the TFL so that they can increase capacity to 80k. Chelsea will build a much better stadium either at Earls Court, or on their existing site. Man Utd will get a better stadium, although I don’t think it will be 100k capacity, and it won’t look like what they have shown us. Man City are ever increasingly improving and extending their stadium. You then have us which if we get ours off the ground, we’ll be flying. I’m baffled at why the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Leeds are happy just doing basic stand rebuilds with modest capacity increases, but also pleased by it, the same applies for West Ham not buying the London stadium and rebuilding that into a purpose built venue. Hopefully We get our stadium complete, and the rules change so infrastructure spending counts towards PSR afterwards, locking them all in what will be shitty stadiums.
  14. Yeah, I’m not keen on the Wissa singing now. At £35m-£40m to replace Wilson yes, but not at £50m. At that point we might as well take a chance of the likes of Samu, or go and really strengthen in another area, even if we spent a bit of money buying younger players who in 2-3 years time may not be good enough to play for us, but will be good enough to make a decent profit off.
  15. Man City didn’t have too. They had no PSR issues, they could sponsor their club even if losses were not an issue, so they could throw money at players in wages. They also won the title within 3 years of their takeover. PSR means our build is slower. It means that the Premier League want to keep our sponsorship income subdued, it means we can’t run losses for a number of years until the trophies start flowing. Put our owners in Man City’s position and we would have done exactly what they did, maybe even bigger. Put their owners in our position and they would have done the best they could with their arms tied behind their backs.
  16. They run alongside PSR, not instead of it.
  17. After how he’s done on strike this summer to get his transfer, he 100% now has a Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, and Saudi club release clause in his contract.
  18. I’ll say this now, if he does the same for Liverpool as he did for us, in 2 years time he’ll not be there, even if it means he’s got to pull this stunt again.
  19. It’s not utter bollocks though, read through this thread over the past few weeks. You are in a WhatsApp group that I’m in where it’s been mentioned. Go on social media and look at it, look at all the people on YouTube videos and being interviewed for cameras saying that we should get rid of him.
  20. I’m going to assume those clubs are well aware that he might be available for £130m-£140m, and that we have possibly tried to sound out some of those clubs, especially as we have been linked with players from PSG, and Barcelona. We’ve had fans throw up banners calling him a snake at the training ground, fans tattooing themselves with the snake image over his name on cup final tattoos, and sang chants directed at him. At what stage is the club in a position now to make fans happy and to do what’s best for the squad. We still need another forward in, and our targets are not coming unless we now overpay, we also likely need another CM, and ideally a pitcher CB. As I have said, this deal might mean our next 3 years of transfer windows means we are competitive, and could mean that we can offer a bigger contract to keep a hold of our other players. It’s a balance of what is best for the club, and honestly if we got to tomorrow and we still had Isak, I’m sure there would be just as many people shouting at our owners for not selling and putting ourselves into a stronger position than there is skating this deal.
  21. There has been saying that, but the majority have not said that. Aa per people just want something to fucking moan about. Hopefully this means we can spend the next 3 years having solid transfer windows, maybe it means that we can offer the likes of Tonali, and Livramento better deals for when Man City come knocking and Liverpool are paying Romano and African bots to pressure us into selling again.
  22. So what’s the solution? I ask because 90% of the fanbase has been saying that we should sell him.
  23. All I’ve heard for a solid month either on here, on other social media, and in person is our fans saying that we can’t keep a hold of him and we should get him out of the door. Now that we are doing that people are losing my minds. I’m disappointed that we have sold to them, but at least I have been consistent in saying that we shouldn’t sell to them and even suggesting that we should be offering him to clubs abroad. People need to get a grip, you can’t spend 4-6 saying that we should sell him and that there is no way back for him, to then turn around and say the owners have no ambition etc.
