Nah, he deliberately dismantled us, and did so by buying aging players off Liverpool and giving them free money.

BMO Field hasn’t aged well at all. In all honesty it is just bleachers, I think I’ve wrote the exact same thing about West Ham’s stadium, and Fulham’s away end. You look at the new stadiums that have been built for MLS teams, and the ones proposed for it and it’s light years behind. Outside of the initial excitement about getting an MLS team, and the couple of years when they were good, the fans haven’t really taken to it. Fucking god help Toronto FC if the MLS does move to a winter schedule as is rumoured. A open stadium, with no shielding from the wind, right on the shoreline of Lake Ontario, in the Canadian winter. Yeah, not for me.

It might not be in effect for this summer, but I’m sure the new DOF will start putting in a better more long term plan. If we do go up we’ll change the team again as they will likely want much better players who can compete at the top end.

At a guess, I’d have to say currently about £3bn-£4bn, possibly £5bn at the upper end of the market. They have the stadium, location, a team that should be up there, and the revenue. The Saudi’s got us at an excellent price to be fair. Give it 10 years, a new stadium, and I think that we will be worth £10bn.

I can’t see Qatar dropping PSG for Spurs, or running the risk of having to pick one of them to drop out of the Champions League in future seasons by having both clubs. Could a Qatari consortium or businessman buy them? Yes. Will the Qatari state by them? I’d highly doubt it.

It’s hard to say that he hasn’t built them into a totally different club. They were mid table also rans for a large part before he and ENIC came in. They are a regular top 6 club in the last couple of decades, they have possibly the best stadium in sports, certainly in football, and their brand especially since they teamed up with Nike has been off the scale. Levy has shot himself in the foot a few times though, sacking Poch, and sacking Mourinho before a cup final that a Mourinho at that time just wouldn’t lose.

Aye, I’m waiting for that talk, whilst they totally neglect the fact that it took 17 months and a CAT case against the Premier League to get it approved.
-
I’m not so sure on that though. We may get more for our money in currency conversations, however your wages are bigger in general money terms. Currently the Ontario minimum wage is $17.20 an hour, going up to $17.60 an hour next month. Things may seem more expensive, but it sort of evens itself out.

They don’t generally go to sporting events (although they do have teams that they love). My uncle goes to a baseball game once a year, but his team are a USA team (going to guess he’ll no longer be doing that now). Half of the ones who follow Ice Hockey actually follow the Montreal Canadians, fuck knows why. I’m absolutely not saying the price increase is right though, I’m just saying that I’ve expected us and football in general to move to a format where fans attend much less often instead of every game, much like the NFL. You could argue that the demand for tickets has already started this off. I guess the difference between us and NHL teams is that we should hopefully be looking at 70k maybe + capacity stadium. With Ice Hockey you get about 20k at most as a capacity. Maybe this will save us from £300 tickets.
-
All of those are coming in anyway, and they always were when the takeover happened. I’d argue that if Ashley got us back into the Premier League after what would have been his 3rd relegation, then ultimately match day tickets would increase in anyway. I honestly think we are only a few years at most away from £100 normal ticket prices. That goes for the whole of the Premier League as well.

Don’t worry, I got it.

Fucking hell, his medical must have took 6 months.

Hall doesn’t need to be registered.

It depends. On paper it will say Eales NUFC 2022-2025 and it would be easy to say that he only delivered a League Cup. He has though been a part of a group who helped double the clubs revenue twice. He won a battle of power that pushed out Staveley who only wanted an entered SJP or rebuilt SJP on the current site etc. If the club goes ahead with a new stadium then he showed get the credit for that, although it will be announced and presumably opened by the new CEO. You could also say that he built a new structure of the club, although it’s arguable that Staveley was doing that regardless, and also fair to say that the DOF’s Eales brought in, didn’t outrun his own tenure. All in all, Eales will get as much credit as our fans wish to give him. Some will say that he never really brought much to the table, certainly nothing others couldn’t have, others will say he brought more than what was done during his tenure.

So £70 for the pinstriped shirt? Although a few of them seem to be on at half price already.
-
This. It’s very simple.

Simon Jordan never voted for PSR, it didn’t come in until 3 years after he left Crystal Palace.
-
They wouldn’t, people jumping the gun. They know anyone else out there is just going to be a consortium who have us ticking over, hopefully winning the odd cup, getting into Europe some seasons etc. Short of either Kuwait, Bahrain buying a club, or someone like Bezos or Zuckerberg suddenly wanting to drop billions on a football club, no one will push us on.
-
No. They might have to complete the deals by then, but fuck them. I can easily see Liverpool taking ages to announce Isak as they do a big announcement video.
-
I think the signing of Elliot is solid for you, and honestly I would have preferred him for us over Ramsey. The Sancho deal though, nah I don’t think that will work out well for you.
