Would you like a cup of tea father? Ah go on.
-
Yeah they do, it’s only 1 or 2 upstairs behind the escalators, it’s sort of on the landing over it.
-
I can’t see Heineken coming in to sponsor us though unfortunately.
-
Oh yeah, I’m fully on board with you over that.
-
Apparently they have been going for years.
-
Yeah I was doing the calculations on that site after I wrote it. It seems the fleeces and tracksuits are comparable to today’s prices, slightly cheaper, where as the shirts are more expensive if you compare them to the pinstriped shirt.
-
Look at those prices, although I’m guessing those were just as expensive back in the 90’s as the £100 price tags they’ll have now?
-
Don’t worry, they’ll start the racist abuse later on when they know the game is done and lost, animals.
-
What constitutes a bespoke deal? You could say that every deal is bespoke.
-
Yeah, I saw pictures of the lasses wearing it and it just seemed massive, very much a 90’s-2000’s fit.
-
That with the away 95-96 away kit, and PSR is no barrier.

Massively disagree. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_area
-
It is. Don’t let the gerrymandering of the local councils in the 70’s distract you from the fact that places like Whitley Bay are Newcastle suburbs.

Fucking hell, well done mate.

A big press of the self destruct button that is.

A closed shop will end up with more Americanism though. The Premier League will sell merchandise directly to fans like the NFL does, possibly tickets as well. Other clubs can ramp up their merchandise, because even though they are not going to win the league, they will always be there, so fans can support them with a safety net. We’ll get the games in different countries, and move to a direct to consumer TV model. The smaller teams will invest in better players because as we had established, the safety net is there, then merchandise and TV income will sky rocket on the back of it.

I’m going to guess that they’ll change it so that only companies that are held by the same holding company’s as the clubs will be classed as party related? That would mean that PIF would be able to use any of their companies to sponsor us.
-
Man City fans seem to think that this is the Premier League saying they are skint and can’t keep fighting legal challenges so have relented with Man City if they save face. The Premier League is well and truly eating itself.
-
The trouble is legally by U.K. law, in civil cases, the winner is entitled to the legal costs from the losers side. So long as you won, it wouldn’t do any real difference, in fact it would encourage clubs to go through the full legal process and not come to out of court settlements.
-
I still think a court case arguing that as equal members of the Premier League, each club is allowed an equal level of sponsorships would win. Treating them differently would be saying that some clubs are not equal.
-
I can’t see Wrexhams owners being in favour of abolishing the pyramid though. Sheffield United’s owners will be a bigger threat than Wrexhams.
-
Man City’s case against the Premier League with the new FFP rules has been settled out of court, and Man City have admitted that the new rules are legal and valid.
-
Apparently NFL owners are close to making a bid for Spurs, Jerry Jones was rumoured to be late last year/early this year.
-
I don’t think she would have ran Spurs though. She would have been a silent partner at most. I think she would have got a similar deal as she got with us, she gets 10% or so as her fee for forming the consortium. She’s even came out and said that her health means she’ll have to stop working soon, and that she probably only has 20 years to live. I think right now she is trying to set herself up so Mehdrad, and her son never have to work again. I mean they are very likely in that scenario in anyway, but owning a part of a Premier League club would be like having a massive wage each year.

Email finally dropped, 40 minutes later. I’m not going to get anything, despite loving the pinstriped top. Still though, plenty of people out there who will be wanting to get it who likely haven’t got their email. It’s not hard to send an email out to everyone at a certain time.
