  1. The official Twitter has improved loads. Got real personality now. aye, but thats the second time today they've advertised stuff, hope it isn't a sign of them returning to their old ways. I was joking like. What neesy posted is about as bad as it gets tbh, terrible. fair enough, I do actually think they've been a lot better since the 'rebrand'. there's been a lot less selling of tat and more focus on the club itself, today's the first time I've noticed them selling anything for ages.

  3. you know in Pardew's mind, the alternative to De Jong is Shola? so the alternative to him starting is a lot worse.
  4. That he's not the best striker around? We all know that, he's worth more to a smaller team than he is to Chelsea. He just doesn't have that ability on the ball to fit into a very good CL side. He's also just 20 years old. You sure about that? yes, 21 in may.
  5. Got to give him some credit, it takes skill to find such an innovative way to pronounce giacharrini. Edit: and who the fuck is Caddermole?
  6. oh look, the high line cost them, no one saw that coming
  7. The Championship was great fun, but I wouldn't of wanted to spend more than a season there, the quality of football was dire, but as someone who was too young to remember the last time we were there it was great going to some of the older/smaller grounds and spending time with more genuine fans, plus it was a nice change seeing us win all the time . I think relegation could be good for you, but it'll depend on how long you spend down there, straight back up within a season or two and it'll probably be good in the long run for you, gives you the chance of rebuilding your squad and getting rid of some of your overpaid, over-age useless rubbish (e.g. Duff for us) , but there's always the danger that if you do go down, you won't come back up again and its not a league you want to spend a lot of time in.
  8. Think that was over 42 league games but aye, think him & Cole for us have both hit 34 league goals. Awesome. Him and Ronaldo hold it with 34 goals, I looked it up. I thought 34 was the record before it became a 20 team league? I know him and Ronaldo jointly hold it for the 20 team league, and him and Cole jointly hold it for before that IIRC.
  9. Got the info from FourFourTwo's stats zone app on my phone , they get their stats from Opta.
  10. He wasn't even particularly good today but he's always involved, love that too. Shame the shot that hit the crossbar didn't go in. Might scroll the thread back to the moment he was taking the freekick as I didn't watch the game live. Must have been epic. It's just that involvement from a central midfielder that I love, I appreciate Palace would hardly have been pressing us high up. 155 touches is insane. The stats are eerily similar to an article I read raving about Cabaye for PSG against Leverkusen. Anita's stats anywhere? I thought he was outstanding today as well - he was really driving and trying to make something, anything happen. He and Tiote were my standout players for the 90 minutes. 119 touches, 96 passes, 89% completion. His passes are noticeably higher up the pitch on average than Tiote's as you would expect, more passes in the final third than any other player (37 attempts, 28 completed) and 62 of this attemped passes were going forward (compared to Tiote's 66) . those two beginning to look good together, well, apart from the absolute lack of creativity.
  11. the passing stats are so one sided, we completed 625 of 705, while they completed 171 of 245. As well as having 73% possession.
  12. Fat Sam complaining it wasn't a free kick ffs, bloke probably moaned through his own wedding
  13. Gouffran/Sissoko on the wings is really beginning to annoy me. Don't think I've ever seen a winger spend less time on the wing than Gouffran. Real lack of width in our play, no surprise when your only natural wide player on the pitch is Paul Dummet.
  14. what sort of absolute cunt stops to get a picture with Mike Ashley.
  15. Nice to see the bench celebrating without it being ruined by Pardew's face
