The thing is with Rafa, I'd love him here but if he does get the gig he'd go right down in my estimation for having accepted it

Hope is an awful thing at times. I WANT to believe Rafa is being lined up, but if he was, why didn't we act after the Chelsea humiliation? It's not planned, unsurprisingly. I'm sure if we drew with Stoke and beat Bournemouth, McClaren would have at least seen the season out. It's just blind panic.

They're all the same these cunts. He's a shite manager himself, of course he'd advocate keeping a shite, British manager on.

I dread to think how dangerous the bad feeling would get once we go one down in the derby. Be mass riots

Can you imagine the meltdown if the club release a statement backing him? FWIW I think he's gone, I suspect the delay is because they want to secure a replacement first.

Not like there were any clues http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FoXyvaPSnVk/TFrcpnHpiII/AAAAAAADK4g/KwRT5idSckU/s800/Knight-Rider-KITT-01.jpg

This is going to be another long day isn't it? Couple of guys from work (Hull City fan, Everton fan) just asked "Any news?" I'd literally just read the previous page of the thread and went "Yeah, he arrived for training but has gone already! Think it's happening!" Now I've just read it's a false alarm. This club, man
-
Thought you were going to deliberate on if he had left the atmosphere. I wish, though. Make him into a sofa. I can do that. Who would buy it? Lee Charnley?
-
I've had a team day at work today. Discussing our service plan for next year. Fuck knows what the actual plan is, I've been secretly refreshing this thread and Twitter simultaneously. Had to charge my phone during the lunch break the battery was that low. I'm gonna get sacked before this cunt.
-
Clutching at straws here, but is it beyond the realms of possibility that he stays on in a different capacity?
-
Not gonna happen this evening. Reckon it will tomorrow though, he can't stay[emoji38] The bigger question is who Ashley will find to come in. Won't be a Moyes/Rodgers/Benitez that we're hoping for.... We have been through this many times before with Pardew. The club aren't sacking him until the end of the season at the earliest, there is no way they would have put out that statement this morning about the players backing him to only sack him later that night or tomorrow. Pardew didn't get us this close to relegation. ...with that level of backing, too
-
Showed today that he's Champions League quality. Absolutely sensational performance.
-
Really interested to see his selection. He was shit scared to lose on Wednesday night and, if the papers are to be believed, he should be shit scared to lose tomorrow too.
-
Anyone actively hoping for a defeat tomorrow to see what might happen?
-
Imagine though? I mean seriously. Being in Charnley's position, where Ashley trusted you. I'd be like Massimo fuckin Cellino. Sacking cunts left, right and centre.
-
I was one of those who wasn't so downbeat upon hearing about his appointment. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but his time is up now. Get rid before it's too late. His insistence after every game that we have been 'unlucky' is fucking insulting.

This cunt is gonna single handedly win us the Euros

Aside from the whole being an adult, presumably with an average or above IQ, with millions in the bank and a quality lawyer, he's exactly like Brendan Dassey. It was a light-hearted comment you doyle.
-
He's like Brendan Dassey this cunt. Try defending yourself man, he's almost like "Well, aye of course I was up for a shag. Still text her, the whole thing had me boner'd up for months until yous lot found out like"

I was initially not against McClaren, but as time goes on it's glaringly obvious that this job is far too big for him and he's well out of his depth. When he joined he talked up the style of play, the kind of football we wanted to see, edge of the seat stuff. It hasn't materialised because he has no idea how to implement it successfully. The players must take their fair share of the blame, especially away from home - Wijnaldum and Shelvey in particular are like fucking Jekyll and Hyde at home and away. McClaren, also must take some blame for his decision making, not making substitutions at crucial times and well, just not being good enough. The largest portion of the blame, however, lies firmly at Charnley/Ashley's door. Why the fuck, when (belatedly) shelling out as much as we have over the last two windows, did they not deem it appropriate to hire a progressive, exciting manager god only knows.
