Agree with that second part. He rarely seems to be ready. Very few people have written him off like. Aye, but some have. Twitter is the worst place for shite like that.

Why isn't that helping like? He might have a little knock. The type that could turn into a longer term problem if he's involved tonight. Perhaps he should have said "Thauvin's had a massive knock, he'll be lucky to walk again" and then when he's back next week the 'Soft Frog' brigade will instantly fall in love with him.

I think we need a proven goalscorer (at this level) to lead the line and make us safe this season, I'd absolutely not be against a loan for Remy to do that. Anyone even contemplating writing Mitrovic off needs their head checking, he'll become a cult hero here, I'm certain of it.

Transfer news? Saivet for someone who gives a shit.

Not consider covering it with 5-10 mins to go? I'm a betting amateur, of course I didn't

I had Dembele FGS last night with Spurs to win 2-1

 Such a fucking radgie

Oh, so all Oriental people are all 'gutless' now are they? Keep digging, mate...

This is how I feel. All of our expectations have been lowered because of Ashley and the way he tries to run the club. I'm sure none of us listened to his interview before the West Ham game and thought "We're getting a top rate manager and spending millions buying the players we NEED". Of the managers we were linked with, McClaren wasn't a bad choice for me. Of course Garde, Gourvennec, Vieira were all interesting propositions but would they have been any better than McClaren? We don't know that, it was the appeal of the unknown. In terms of pedigree, yes McClaren was sacked by a Championship club but he's managed at International level (albeit without any level of success) and that title win with Twente gets nowhere near the recognition it should on here. Until a buyer appears with enough money to appeal to Ashley, what are we supposed to do?

Really? I think we've seen what McLaren's about and I like him a lot more than Pardew but he's still not good enough for us. Never has been and never will be. I'm not too arsed tbh now though; our squad's absolutely fucked. Yeah, really. Under this owner we're not going to be able to go out and attract a big name manager, not would any come to us with the set up we operate under. I've said it before but McClaren is the best we could hope for. Of course that doesn't make it OK but if we can carrying on TRYING to play football then it's far better than anything served up over the last few years. I'm aware it's total apathy and acceptance of this regime but for christ sake, what else can I do? Anyone who's successfully managed to walk away, I applaud you. I'm not even a Geordie, maybe that's why? I don't feel any less of a fan but maybe there's something I just don't get? Just accept our lot then, don't try and force a change. Fair enough. You can't FORCE a buyer to come up with hundreds of million pounds to buy a football club, man. Even if we FORCED Ashley to admit defeat and sell up, what then? To successfully sell something, you need a willing buyer...

Baffled as to why people would be happy to see him go. Two of the last three seasons we've deserved to be relegated. Cowardly football, hoofball tactics and a complete cunt of a manager - throw in a painfully mediocre 10th place finish in the middle with the same awful football and some of you think McClaren could just come in and transform the attitudes, abilities and playing style of this team so quickly? For the first time in years, we DON'T deserve to be where we are, we're playing far better than the league table suggests and if we continue playing like this, we'll be absolutely fine. Things will come good and I genuinely think McClaren could do well here. 2-0 down and down to 10 men yesterday and McClaren threw on Thauvin for Dummett, they're the sorts of things we complained endlessly that we wanted Pardew to do - granted he said judge him after 10-12 games, but every time I've seen us (perhaps Swansea aside) there have been an awful lot of positives and a LOT of the tactical changes we wanted to see under Pardew. Yes he's still playing the useless Colback, but fitting Mitrovic and Perez in the same team was a good decision, and playing on the deck will pay dividends eventually. Yes, it's not the appointment we wanted but just cast your minds back to where we've been the last few years. Williamson hoofing the ball up to Perez, isolated up front on his own with Gouffran for support. I think it's far too early to write McClaren off, like I said it's bad news we've been in the bottom three all season but things will take time. We've gone toe-to-toe with Man United, Arsenal, Man City (for 45 minutes anyway...) and (albeit a poor looking) Chelsea and gone at them rather than setting up to try and NOT lose like Pardew did against lesser opposition. That's incredibly refreshing and admirable. Anyone calling for his head this early better not be those who resent the media for claiming we're 'deluded' and 'demand success' - don't we just demand a team that tries? Because as far as I can tell, we've actually got one of those and have been genuinely unlucky so far this season.
-
Why? Playing abroad for the first time in his career. Six league games in and you're about to write him off? No wonder your posts are laughable most of the time. Because maybe he watched him for Marseille and saw why the Marseille fans were delighted to see him leave. You complain about other posters but you come in here and think you know everything. in what way does my post suggest I think I know everything?
-
Absolutely this. I mean for fuck sake, how quick are we to get pissed off when the media say us as fans are demanding, impatient and expectant? And now, six games into a new season, a whole new coaching set up and having to rid ourselves of the utter shite Pardew and Carver left behind and we're already prepared to write off McClaren? Honestly, some of you guys are ridiculous. I barely post on here because I can't handle all the melodrama. It's going to take more than six games to sort this shite out.

If i had to choose one, it'd be Marco Tardelli, 1982. Simple, effective, yet at the same time conveying the thought "FUCKING HELL! I've just scored in the world cup final!" in a way that anyone else understands. Glorious moment to watch like

What a plank, man. Always thought he was destined for bigger things.

That Gomis celebration is proper shite but I can think of far worse. When you have the intelligence and awareness that De Jong has on the pitch, you don't need pace or athleticism to be effective.
-
If there wasn't, I'm sure there will be in no time. Personally, I think that's what he thrives on and we could be a really good fit for him. Loved that interview with Ben Arfa when he loved the crowd urging him forward

They didn't get any money did they? Sure some of it was offset against Negredo's transfer wasn't it?

You obviously missed the ratings Lee Ryder posted from the Sun Nope, was calling that Rayner fella a lunatic. That's the reason I didn't quote you tbh. Ahh! Sorry mate!
