I'm hopeful on Thauvin, there's only so much you can take from a former clubs fans. If a small section of OM fans on the Internet think we've been robbed, so be it. They could be as knowledge as some of the guys on here, i.e. not very... Thauvin was excellent at Bastia and Lille, maybe he's that kind of player - who needs to feel like the big fish. I'd be delighted if it comes off, regardless of how many defensive reinforcements we need. If we don't sign another defender, it doesn't mean I want us to not sign attacking players either.

Personally, I hope QPR lose him for free in the summer. They were stupid enough to spunk ridiculous fees on average players and expect other clubs to do the same for their players. Clubs who might have been interested have rightly baulked at the asking price and gone elsewhere. Hopefully by the end of the window they end up desperately trying to hawk him out for £10-12m when it's too late. Edit: Or sunderland will go and buy him for £15m

Such a cliché thing to say but if his first goal on Saturday was scored in the Premier League, people would be raving about it for a long time. Really pleased for the lad, he can go out and get some game time and score some goals (4 very good goals so far too).
