  1. A better manager in 2021 than Steve Bruce. There's got to be thousands of lower league managers, ex-players and coaches better suited to managing a PL club than Bruce.
  2. Whoever scouted him should be sacked, he's absolutely nowhere near the required level. I'm sure I read a few comments on here from Swede's telling us exactly that.
  3. This! It’s really beyond me why anyone is worried or panicking. Also it’s a f***ing disgrace we are even having to have this debate about relegation again at all. All self inflicted AGAIN. Also I believe we are more likely to get a new owner outside of the PL as all these seasons in the PL haven’t shifted Ashley. It worked well for villa. We’ve been relegated twice and neither occasion had a takeover appear, or even appear remotely close. The only takeover which has appeared to be close, has occurred during relative PL safety. A fee has been agreed and would obviously need to be renegotiated in the event of relegation. MA has always had an unrealistic viewpoint on our valuation and that’d become even more unrealistic in the Championship. I have never understood the view of wanting/happy with relegation. We then go down and spend one season desperate to get promoted. What’s the point in that? The standard of football is minging. The alternative is to crash down to the level of the mackems and mix with chancers as new owners. It’s not true at all we’re ‘more likely’ to have a new owner outside of the PL. The only hope we have is the one currently in progression. That deal would be complicated more with relegation, therefore relegation would be disastrous as we don’t need any more complication in this deal. Unlike now - where we have a purpose and play beautiful football? I'm not saying relegation will guarantee us being closer to a takeover, in fact I'd go as far as saying it will have no impact either way. What will happen though is one or the other, a takeover or Ashley being out of pocket. At this stage I think Ashley being hit in the pocket is one of the few things that helps us push on. It's so backward.
  4. I'm happy to go down, if it means Ashley is out of pocket or a takeover is closer, then so be it. What's the point in staying up to go through the same shit again in 12 months? More funny moments like Keith Stroud to look forward to
  5. So that's double the number of attempts by Chelsea in the first 6 mins than we'll manage in 90
  6. That's your ideal scenario? There'll be heart attacks aal owwer.
  7. I see what you did there.
  8. Fair play. 1:40 made me laugh - sometimes it sounds like he's speaking Italian as Paul Whitehouse would on Fast Show.
  9. Reminds me of "Karagounis! Karagounis!"

We'll likely have Clark, Lascelles and Fernandez back for the next game, right back is a much bigger issue now.
  11. How can you watch that and think it's worthy of a red card? What an idiot.
  12. Fucking love Miggy like, he's such a grafter.
  13. How the hell do you reach this conclusion if you have eyes He's not as bad as people are making out, at least he shows for the ball. We've had worse, he's no better than someone like Haidara for example. But 'showing for the ball' should be a default requirement, not something that's call out as a positive. Every challenge, 50/50 or tussle he's lost so far. Redmond, Adams, Ings all rag dolled him off the ball. He looks like someone your average gym goer could outperform on the weights. It's pathetic for a professional sportsman to look that weak.
