Even at CB we've got Thiaw and Botman who could be our pairing for a few seasons over the next 4/5 years, but I agree it's thinning with each year beyond that. Someone mentioned selling Miley earlier in the thread but surely there's a spot for him somewhere if we're persisting with three in the middle. Our best XI doesn't need to be exclusively replaced like for like over the coming years.

One symptom of PSR is the amount of unbalanced squads popping up all over the league within the other 14. I think we've done quite well with our recruitment this summer and are well placed to take a few gambles over the next couple of windows on some relatively low fees for some promising youngsters given the base we've now given ourselves. Assuming both Wissa and Woltemade turn out decent I will agree with you, but it's too early to make that call imo.
