I think the big thing in our favour here is that it's the last day of the window and we'd never replace him in time. Can't help but think that if we had a week or so left, this would've been accepted.

If Carlos Vela is definitely going out on loan, he wouldn't be a bad move for us (provided the fee and wages are low of course!)

He had a cracking game today, looked a lot more confident on the ball and didn't look afraid to take on the players. I still think if we could get his confidence up he could be a good player for us.

because of one comedy miss? he's done well this season, including a game changing performance against liverpool. up until tonight that is, where his confidence took a knock. ott to say he "shouldn't get a chance up front again". Spot on. He basically needs to be given an opportunity here or sent out on loan, he has to get some gametime under his belt!
