Flamini is very limited and nowhere near as good as Arteta. Sorry but that's a ridiculous post iyam. Flamini fits better into the holding role than Arteta ever did.
-
comes across as a smug know it all and his conduct post speeds death (2 days after he was buried he was looking for the job describing it as "Gary's Wish") was pretty low
-
Soon as Barton Carroll was gone for me, never been the same since. fyp
-
I thought he couldn't get a job until his case for unfair dismissal is done? not if he wants any compo I think anyway. Pulis would be my bet
-
Poll reset time who's the next winner of the sack race.
-
odd time to sack him, even with the new manager bounce having a new guys first 3 league games being Liverpool, Man Utd and Swansea away, the logical time would have been post Man Utd since that and Liverpool are write offs anyway with anything you get a bonus and with the international break thats after man utd plenty of time for a new guy to get to know his squad and work on a few things.

We're a break-even club aren't we? Not sure, I keep getting told we only buy players on the cheap to sell for a profit. We don't seem very good at it. I don't believe the remit is: "sign players that we can actively look to sell for thrice as much in the future." However: "sign players that might sell for thrice as much in the future," is probably in the remit somewhere. its in most clubs remit somewhere

he's always been a pragmatist, this "Rodgers waytm" has always ultimately been about about defending with possession more than rip apart with possession just don't understand how playing 4 cbs instead of actual full backs fits in with this in any way.
-
apparently paulinhio scored late
-
Di Canio-obvious why Holloway-strange management (sign a player in the summer, leave him out of your 25 man prem squad-why?!) Hughton-spent a fair amount and getting poor results with a dull style of play with fans losing patience over it.
-
nor me, did well in championship but struggled with WBA and his league form with Chelsea of all sides was pretty poor
-
he basically dragged them to the title last season and the age of Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra is really showing now.
-
impressive how inept they looked minus Coutinhio (2nd half vs Swansea and yesterday as my example) and why did they start with 4 cbs? they had enrique an actual full back on the bench right?
-
good to see that English core at Man Utd working so well and showing the world what English players are capable of
-
Brilliant last act by Fergie to recommend MUFC David Moyes. "hmm how can I make myself look even better later on..............ah appoint someone who's won nowt to screw up my set up and make me look like a genius for holding it all together for so long!"

man utd are looking worse than we did vs city

To be fair Gomis from what I've seen from him is a similar type of player, albeit obviously not at the same level. As you say though, it was painfully obvious we needed another striker, somebody who could give us something different to what we have, yet we failed to act decisively once again, even though the players were quite clearly available.. Taking their age into consideration they aren't the same level, but I wouldn't say right now Lakaku is on another level to Gomis, not at all IMO. I suppose we'll see for sure when/if he comes here. I don't know what their age has to do with anything, Lukaku is already head and shoulders above Gomis if you ask me. head and shoulders above most strikers in the league tbh, I'd like to know what Mourinhio was on when he made the decision to send him out on loan.

could be he is learning but isn't confident enough with his English thus far to speak to the media in it yet. Hell public speaking is a problem for a lot of people let alone trying to speak publicly in another language than your native one.

They could start by showing that supposed superior ability on a consistent basis, HBA Colo and Krul apart who has shown any kind of consistent form even just since jan? Last time I checked that was one of the manager's main responsibilities. It should also be one of the basic things they should want to do regardless of the manager or are they helpless babies who only robotically do what they are told and never think for themselves?

while I get your sentiments I'm not overly fond of the idea of loaning one of the "elites" kids and developing him for them. You're right, doing it for QPR is loads better. the theory is we're going to buy him () once the legal troubles are out of the way compared to absolutely no chance in hell of signing Lukaku unless he seriously goes off the rails.

On what basis is Debuchy better than he is showing? Because he did well in the french league? Thats a poor league and getting poorer by the second outside of the artificial clubs of PSG and Monaco. Because he's a French international? Thats not much of a reference these days. The problem with Cabaye is he doesn't want to be here so why the hell would he put much effort in.
