  1. wouldn't count reading out just yet, there is still the cardiff bottling it in the playoffs factor to come into play
  2. best performance i've seen him put in was against uruguay for ireland in a friendly, looked brilliant in that game, won nearly everything in the air and as you said great movement, thats what really convinced me he'd be worth a punt
  3. i think so (really open to correction here if i'm horribly wrong) as long as hes on the bench (or by some miracle starts)
  4. Disagree. With another strong team in the group, chances are good they'll do the business on the pot 3 and 4 sides, leaving them little to play for. Of course, it leaves you with two difficult games, but if you do well against the pot 3 and 4 sides, too, it becomes a two-horse race and two go through anyway. I don't think it really makes much difference in the end; not when two go through. Ultimately, assuming my team were in pot 1, I'd prefer either the worst pot 2 side or the best to be in the same group. Goes without saying that I'd want to avoid any decent pot 3/4 sides, especially billionaire-backed newbies like Man City that should punch way above their ranking. dunno not finishing top of your group can have nasty consequences (like meeting Barcelona in the next round) and having a team like real in pot 2 and in your group is going to create the distinct chance you could finish 2nd
  5. can't say I know much about him but if its true its more or less goodbye jose if the clubs making bids for left backs
  6. wouldn't mind Larsson myself as a squad player and we all know shola will play at some point
  7. did reebok just get bored of doing plain white year after year?

    Sunderland...

suppose it was too much to hope for bruce would be stupid enough to sign him permanently. I didn't expect much out of him for your lot but jeez he managed to surprise me at how shit he was, didn't look close to a competent player
  10. must be, I don't recall any incidents like this with Martin O'Neill or Gordon Strachen while they were at Celtic. Not that it excuses this sort of thing.
  11. doubt its true yet not while the season is still on (no matter how irrelevant it is to villa) but can defiantly see it happening, iirc his contracts up next summer and ain't signing a new one so villa are in a similar enough position to us with jose, have to sell so they can get something for him and replace him
  12. Swansea doing really well despite the 10 men
  13. jesus neil taylor sent off for swansea inside 90 seconds
  14. aye, he had agreed wages too but then demanded even more so birmingham pulled the plug on it
  15. always going to happen, pity I would have found it funny if they tried to replace him with someone else. Suppose we'll see if he actually still has it or if he's just got a very prolonged honeymoon period
