Aye it's always painfully obvious to see when he is on the wind-up too.
-
Also you've told us countless times how the derby games mean nothing in the wider picture, remember? I guess the game in 7 days will only matter if you win and be utterly meaningless if you lose like last year then?
-
And I doubt there's a much better feeling than winning a derby you were rather nervous about beforehand 5-1. Also, after a promising start to the night I see Wearyside's reverted to form and started rambling about a result from over a 100 years ago. Guess he must've had a bit to drink since earlier on.

Name me one affordable striker better than Darren Bent. You can't, because there isn't one, that's just simple facts. If you read carefully I never suggested you should've bought a better striker than Bent, I simply suggested the money would've been better spent on a player who is more capable of playing Premier League football this season instead of buying a youngster for the future.
-
Very overrated too you said. BTW Wearside, I've noticed you've finally learnt that a space follows a comma. But anyway, I agree with Cajun in that I think Wickham's got plenty potential. But, I still think you'd have been much better off spending that money on a player for the here and now as oppose to one for the future because I still don't see a consistent goalscorer in your team, there's still a massive hole to be filled where Bent's goals used to be.

Our "squad" is a lot stronger than yours in all honesty. Seriously people like Simpson, Taylor(all of them), Lovenkrands, Ranger, Best, Obertan etc wouldn't get near our squad. If you have all players fit you have a decent first XI but honestly, you don't have a good "squad" at all. I'd say Best at least has shown he's more lethal than Fraizer Campbell. Frazier Campbell is injured and will not be in the matchday squad for a long time. Leon Best would never get in our squad ahead of Gyan, Sessegnon or Wickham. Do you want me to bring up the Connor Wickham thread on here? There's some fairly interesting comments from you in that thread IIRC.
-
No way both will come, it would be foolish of the club to concentrate on only one target at a time though.
-
Wow, credit to the club if they pull this off, I'm not too hopeful though. It's like being bi-polar supporting this fucking club, I don't know why we bother.
-
Caulkin was 5 mins ago, sent him a quick tweet.
-
Fucking hell man, what's going on?
-
Eh what? Fuck off.
-
Tiote should've got 4, Cabaye 5 or 8.
-
Agree with the Liverpool hate, but Sunderland will be much closer rivals in terms of league position this year. A Liverpool win would be more beneficial to NUFC and at the end of the day that's all that matters.
-
Actually thinking about it, there's no chance we'll play that second way, can't see us throwing Obertan or Marveaux into the deep end. It'll most likely be 4-4-2, or possibly a more strict 4-5-1, as oppose to the formation above which is almost a 4-3-3, with Barton on the right and someone like Gosling coming into midfield.
-
Krul Simpson, Taylor/Williamson, Colo, LB Barton, Tiote, Cabaye, Jonas/Marveaux Best/Shola, Ba or same back 5 and: Barton Tiote Cabaye Marveaux Jonas /Obertan Ba That's assuming Barton's still here obviously.
-
Nope, our left side is weak as p***, desperate for a left winger and hoping we sort it before next week. At the moment either Colback and Vaughan, who are both centre midfielders will be playing there and if Colback plays it might be like playing with 10 men due to his Newcastle tendancies. I've not seen him much over the past couple seasons, but Richardson's never a LB either, is he?
-
Wouldn't mind O'Shea's injury keeping him out a little longer. A Bramble/Brown partnership at the heart of their defence would have massive potential if Titus' pre-season form is anything to go by. That left side looks really weak too, don't you possess any proper left sided players, Wearside?

That rumour about him getting bonuses based on our finances probably peaked his interest. Is that rumour actually based on anything you can pin down or is it just another opportunity to get the boot in? I think the majority of the original posts have been deleted though. How does that prove he's on bonuses to get the costs down? Because Golfmag either has some good knowledge of the inner workings of NUFC, or he's fucking psychic. Either way..
-
Aye that's what I'm hoping, he'll get his international recognition at Liverpool which should hopefully perk up some interest from Barca considering Abidal's now into his thirties.
-
Golfmag who had Pardew as next manager as early as October said.. I think the majority of the original posts have been deleted though.
-
Says who? In reply to appearing on Goals on Sunday - @chris_kammy sorry mate, what with the 5.30pm ko tomo, its a logistical nightmare to get down. Love the show, we'll come on in near future.
-
Abeid 13, I know squad numbers a pretty meaningless, but that indicates he's definitely seen as part of the first team.

Was it not a swap deal with Puyol? Edit: Aye! http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/823573-steven-taylor-and-carles-puyol-tipped-for-shock-barcelona-newcastle-swap
