aw man you missed an epic night.. the commentator is just a pure Ledge, it was hilarious. That fkn on wiki needs a life, no way he could know if Fraser Forster used to be in soft core porn or not, or if Tim Kril was a drag queen but he was shit hot on changing them back.

Vuckic and Abeid's celebration. http://cache2.asset-cache.net/xc/119902272.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF878921E86F5CE8BE5D78FB03D16214D6F0AB812B2A3660B6FD5F2378F44A743C1D4214 Notice Jose's awful body language in the background too.

Fuck sake man, I stayed up to watch that pile of shite the other night, but forgot all about this. Just read the whole thread, gutted I missed, in absolute creases reading it all, especially Chris and Skirge's Wikipedia war.

I don't imagine Pardew would be, Ashley doesn't come across as the type of owner who cares too much for derby results. I'd agree Bruce will be under pressure if he loses in your own back yard though.
-
Where did that come from? His imagination? Like all his transfer stories do.
-
I had a similar discussion with someone on here the other night, he claimed Ashley will pocket at least £50m this season from NUFC.
-
I dunno like, the little scrote bottled it big time in both derby games. First time was understandable, any plastic hardman's arse would drop when faced with , but he had no excuse 2nd time when he was up against Smith and then Guthrie.

There's little point speculating whether or not selling Carroll was the right or wrong decision with regards to our club tbh. In most circumstances selling Carroll for £35m is a straight forward yes. However, from the fans POV, there's absolutely no point in ever selling key players here because we know the vast majority of any fee won't be reinvested.
-
It's like no matter what happens to our club, we will always take the p*ss out of them. Seeing none of their fans returning to their seats at half time did it for me, we would never do that... NEVER. Arsenal. Nice try, but better luck next time.

If only we could've had Nile around to argue our corner after every World Cup and Euro failure.
-
Good to see they're getting on. Hopefully Joey's had a few quiet words with Nile while they've been away.

Aye definitely, still laugh at my mate who made the prediction that 'he saw no other possible outcome other than a Sunderland win, because he saw no way we could penetrate their defence', so to see us manage to do that five times was absolutely brilliant.

A lot of players usually ask to see their favored doctors when facing a possibly serious injury. They are the ones most familiar with the player's medical history anyway, so it's not a daft petition. Also I'm guessing most the club's medical staff are in America and any others are with the lads in Holland, so there's probably no available senior medical staff from the club available to see to him in Newcastle. Makes sense to send him home until the club are back from America tbh. Absolute sickener that he's out for 6 weeks like.

Was such a fucking belting day that was, can remember loads of us doing the Ameobi outside the Life centre at about half three in the morning . Woke up still pissed out me brains the next morning after about an hours kip, saw the Paper with Kevin Nolan chicken dancing all over the front and back pages and I couldn't help just giggling uncontrollably to me self. Love this match report too, brings a smile to my face every time. http://www.true-faith.co.uk/tf/Matches.nsf/ab283684d03f231d80256b520047d321/06ca0ae35d91e360802577ce0033fcab?OpenDocument

Yeah, he owns about 70% of Sports Direct, I doubt he can just use it like a private bank account. If he's got anything over a 50% stake in the company he's pretty much in complete control. Obviously he'll have to abide by any rules and regulations every other PLC has to, but no one in the company can oppose any decision he makes.

Eh. Do you think a club just has to pay it's staff and that's it? There'll be plenty of other expenses that a business the size of NUFC have to pay. Also I'd guess the wage bill will have gone up a bit considering that's the Championship season's accounts, so you have to add Tiote and Ben Arfa for last year (plus any re-negotiated contracts, e.g. Taylor) and then factor in the three new lad's wages for this seasons budget. We'll make a profit, yes. We should be spending a considerable amount more, yes. But, Ashley will not make £50m+ from NUFC this season.
-
Are you honestly saying you think the club will have made £50m+ profit last season? He didn't say we made that much last season, the 50million is this seasons tv cash. Don't you get paid TV money after the season based on how many times you featured, not at the beginning? Regardless, there's is no way Mike Ashley will have made £50m from NUFC in the past season. I thought you got the standard bit of cash at the start of the season, then got more depending on the number of appearances. I think we should have had somewhere in the region of 40million to spend if the Carroll money was to be used on players + a tiny slice of tv money. What would have happened if we hadn't sold Carroll? Ashley would have had to give some of the TV cash to the club to spend on new players, it's not unreasonable to expect some of that money to be used in this transfer window. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's unreasonable to expect some money to be spent. But the £50m figure was plucked out of thin air. Hardly. Add some figures in for the rest of the club's commercial income and you'll get a better picture. Just as there's extra expenses besides the wage bill. http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/55741334 http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110330/newcastle-united-limited-accounts_2281670_2326465

Rather than just deny, care to bring your own figures to the table? Mine were generous in your favour in the wages paid from TV money, if you want to do it your way, then say the whole lot (50m+) has gone straight onto wages in addition to all the matchday revenue, merchandising, sponsorship then Ashley has simply put the 35m from Carroll in his pocket at this moment. Or as I think, a lot more. TV money was £47m for last season. Total expenses for our Championship season were £74.4m (and we operated at a loss of £22m). The expenses will have almost certainly gone up for last season. I expect we'll have just about broke even before player trading. We'll have made a substantial profit after the Carroll sale so far, yes, but no where near £50m.

While you had his attention you could've at least told him to give Jose a smack round the chops for being a cheeky twat.

Not if they've sent him home from the tour. Which they may have when you consider the Dummett call up. That's what I think it's going to say too He'll no doubt be discussing personal terms with Liverpool within a couple days.
