Absolutely. His input to the line-up, substitutions and motivation of the players can be debated... but people are forgetting the gameplan itself. Give it to the centre-backs so they can pump it long. That was the gameplan and it was bloody horrendous. The fact he mentioned the pitch size in the post-match interview merely confirms that for me. He saw it as a necessity to play long-ball cos it was a narrow pitch with little space. Bollocks. Yep. What annoyed me though was we had 3 shots on target. 3?!?!?! Our best shot/chance was a 20 yard strike from Barton. We never had a passage of play to shoot long range. With the pitch being so small and narrow this should have been a must for PL players.'Go on lads, test the keeper from range'. We could have scored/got a corner/scored a parried save. We just didn't think beyond Plan A unfortunately.

Like Who Ranger was already on. The bench was bare. The squad outside of 12/13 players is woeful Vuckic/Ferguson. Someone with attacking intent. Read my earlier long post. Vuckic wasn't in the squad. Ah...well somebody who wasn't a DM then.

c*** Bollocks man We have put in 3 out of 5 great performances in a period of 13 days from Man City to today. The 2 wins and the Man City game were great performances. And even the spurs game for 45 was ok We dont have the strength in depth to cope with this period. THAT IS NOT APs FAULT To call him a c***. I am embarassed for you Wrong. He needs to take responsibility for his decisions today and he got too many wrong. Let's see how many Pardew Bummers are out in force if we lose the derby. He got 2 decisions wrong today as far as i am concerned I would have played Fergie left back I would have switched Rout and Barton These are just minor details and probably had little effect on the goals we conceded Pardews record so far is Liverpool - Win Man City - Lose Spurs - Lose Wigan - Win West Ham - Win Stevanage - Lose He has made decisions (playing Best, Partnering Taylor and Colo) which have been directly responsible for some of those positive results The guy has made a great start, and todays the fixture list and injuries have gone against him against a fired up professional outfit who have had a number of games cancelled due to the weather It is not about being a 'Pardew Bummer', it is about getting behind the team and acknowledging that he has made decisions that have had a positive effect

There left back had him in his back pocket all game.

Tiote should't have been brought on. I feel a more attacking player should have been to contribute to the ineptness of the 4 midfielders. But nonetheless. It wasn't a red.

I've never felt such a weird sensation after a match before. I though i'd be crying into a hankie if we lost to someone 73 places below us but i'm not. I'm just so angry with the gutless performance of 5 or so mercenaries on that pitch today. Mainly (in no particular order): Smith, Perch, Routledge, Williamson, Nolan and Ranger (the last two who i was very surprised with) I don't think Pardew is mainly to blame but he has to take his share for the starting line up. I'd rather have had Vuckic, Kadar and Ferguson on for the opening three players. Largely because they will have had desire to prove themselves and we know they have something in them. To play a s***e right back at left back was laughable. To play Barton on the left to compensate a frankly laughable Routledge was a joke. Why not play Ferguson on the left eh? The reason Pardew's subs were poor was that his starting line up was so wrong. He only had 3 subs to make and he knew he had to change something. There was about 6 players who deserved to be taken off and he had the joy of only 3 to bring on. Pardew's motivation towards the players has to be questioned too. But nonetheless if players like Perch, Smith and Routledge cannot outplay players 3 divisions below them it shows how limited they are. Sell sell sell. Williamson's performance today shows how stupid the 5 1/2 year deal was. Ranger's attitude problem is obvious. And for Kaptain Kev i'm just bitterely disappointed. Please get it right against Sunderland. Keep the faith.

FA reject unfair dismissal appeal from NUFC for Cheik Tiote
TheGuv replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
My opinion is that it was a great tackle and that it doesn't matter if studs were showing as the tackle was made across the opponent and the actual tackle will have been performed with the calf. Not the foot! The player made a meal of it mind (which is expected) but it only looked bad as he lunged in. -

Would be great. I've never even heard it in pockets of L7 though

Just heard that. Wonder if the F.A. are likely to do anything. He said "I was having a laugh and a joke with the ref afterwards. I said"That was my first ever dive, could you tell?"" What a disgrace our game is then
