Haven’t watched this in a long time. Apparently they filmed John Mills downing a real pint for the scene and they had to do around 8 takes of it, so he was rather pissed by the end

Must admit, this is why I'm saving myself for a big day out next week for the Forest game tbh. Also keeps the wife happy
-
I see tickets are still for sale in the family enclosure against Forest. Hopefully next season they massively reduce this section.

NUFC TV is streaming it

No way? Seriously?

Hated them both. But at least Pardew was sort of likeable 2011-2012 -
Just read a good (I know, crazy) article in the Mag about the Family Enclosure. I 100% agree with it. It needs to go (or be SIGNIFICANLY reduced). It was only 500 seats back when I was a kid, and my dad had to lump it and buy us all a seat elsewhere in the ground. As it happens, I preferred it. I got to sing and shout at the back of L7, where the Toon Ultras sat (remember them?). It helped me get more involved in the club and match day experience. I vividly remember going into the Family Enclosure with my mate in 2002 and my bro went with my dad. We beat Everton 6-2. I couldn't believe how many kids were sat inside paying on the PS2 or XBOX. It's always been the same. A lot of kids aren't arsed about the match, until they're much older (if ever). https://www.themag.co.uk/2022/07/time-to-scrap-the-newcastle-united-family-enclosure/

This is absolute god tier content man The ending when he travelled 90 minutes to get to the Eiffel Tower only for it to be a crime scene.

Just for you @WarrenBartonCentrePartin

Heard the Blaydon Races. Someone certainly tried to sing the correct first verse, but was drowned out by people singing it incorrectly

Didn't realise Pope was still in goal... This commentator man lol

How many of us are 'working from home' today then?

Nice run by Krath to win the corner

Got through on another device. Gallowgate nearly sold out. Plenty in Level 7 still available. Probs a good few thousand still left.
-
Hoping that all in the queue this morning get one so it calms people down for future sales.
-
There’ll be so many people on multiple devices that will have already got theirs. Thus the queue will continue to reduce.
-
Got mine fortunately. Wish I got queue number 75 2 weeks ago for season tickets…

Perhaps includes the greatest lyric of all time: "I was so upset that I cried all the way to the chip shop" Actually surprised the chorus of that song hasn't been belted out by teams when Gordon is diving actually. Would be hilarious

Just got in. Loads of tickets left for Bilbao - basically the full Strawberry Corner is available. Block F has 273 seats Block E has 415 seats I'm not sure this will sell out as quickly as people thought.

Nah they dress up in suits and go and watch Minnions. I saw a group of 20 of them at Cramlington Vue yesterday. Bizarre.

Supermarkets have killed the pub trade imo. I've said for a while, but they should reduce the hours of alcohol trading in supermarkets and add extra tax to the products. This could then allow a large reduction on tax for the price of a pint in your local pub. I'd also argue to reduce the drinking age to 16 (in pubs only, up the licence holder's jurisdiction to serve and only on alcohol below 3.5%). Could that kickstart a pub boom again and like @LFEEsays increase social interaction between generations?

Can’t remember who said they know the club are looking into extension possibilities. But if that poster knows, it’s probably quite likely that the owners of the Gallowgate land know too. The club have been safe since April, they know the demand is there. If they needed confirmation, they’ve certainly found out this week with the amount of memberships they’ve sold. I’m sure all parties will get what they want out of the deal.

Would really like to hear this get an airing. My dad used to sing it to me and I’ve never ever heard it at SJP. A very simple chant as well.

What time is the kickabout?
