Tragic they knocked the Leazes down like. The stadium as it was for 3 years looks tremendous
-
Fuck off
-
Stadium 974 wasn’t £300m though was it? It was literally shipping containers?
-
Said it already on here. Use one of the temporary Qatar 2022 stadiums and put it at Exhibition Park. Precedent of temporary structures being used there was set in the 1929 North East Coast Exhibition, so this shouldn’t be knocked back by the Freeman or City Council.

For all those who love FFP and want a club that competes. How about we whack £1000 a season extra onto all 35,000 Season Tickets to generate £35m a year?
-
I remember them making a comment about how it’s the only stadium in the UK with a main train line near by. I honestly think they’ll stay on the same site. Don’t be surprised if they build a mad temporary stadium at Exhibition Park or something. There’s precedent for that too with the Great Exhibition of 1929.

Perhaps because it was before so many clubs changed their traditional homes to nee stadiums? This was circa 96-97 I think?
-
There’s actually been a lot of good and reasoned debate on there. The overwhelming majority I have read aren’t happy about the manner of the survey nor the view of what is to come off the back of it
-
Maybe when ST prices shoot up they might want to? Dortmund was 20s plenty?
-
Called it in the summer. Membership ticket prices are up 26%. ST holders will follow (3% increase this season). This is just another case of “we’ve asked the supporters in a survey but have already made our minds up”. I hope @Heron and WF will be having discussions on some form of flag display to showcase the fandom true feelings on this. Twitter is going mental about it tbh.

Doubt they’d care when they can charge £5k a season ticket in a comfy chair
-
Just wait for the inevitable Longbenton@SJP on the Ministry site
-
Yep. He’s mates with some of my mates. He used to bet £100 a game on FIFA (despite being shite) and losing and owing them money
-
That true? ??

I went to my first game as a 7 year old. Loved it. I played football and was in love straight away. Season tickets in Level 7 for the start of the 01-02 season with my dad and 11 year old brother. Singing and learning the songs were the Toon Ultras originally congregated. There is a fine line however. I think had I gone as a 4 or 5 year old I wouldn’t have had a clue what was going on and probably would have been overawed. I certainly won’t be taking my lad until he can appreciate it. I don’t want his and my first memory of the game being him crying, or being overwhelmed or what have you. I want us both to enjoy it. I’m not sure how a 2 1/2 year old will make it an enjoyable experience for either of you tbh - despite the best intentions you may have.

There was 4 of us as linked members. One of the lads works as a manager on a building site. Very rarely able to use his phone - but would every week at 10am. He’d rarely be first in the queue out of the four of us, but we did it together as a team ??

My mate doesn’t have kids or owt. He’s just been in the family enclosure for years. No idea how’s it been allowed to happen

Friend of mine is 29, and still paying £400 a season
-
Quite telling from Twitter that the forum for once isn’t an echo chamber on this issue. A lot seemingly not happy with various comments and quoted retweets of the Mehrdad and Reuben tweet.
-
I’d say you’re in the overwhelming minority Nut.

I don’t see what was wrong with the ST cards for ST holders. Members could have cards that if successful, a ticket is uploaded to their physical card to get into the stadium? I pay £37 a year, surely a physical card isn’t that fucking hard (or expensive)
