I think this is only going to continue getting a lot worse as more and more people become more and more pissed off too. I will be attending the Trust AGM again in January and implore as many of you as possible to come along. The Head of Supporter Services will be there, and I’ll be directing a lot of questions at her - despite me having to ask it via the board. But it will be obvious I am directing it at the Club. Hopefully plenty more are willing to do the same? It’s all a shambles and this was all called out by many at the start of the season. Totally unavoidable - but the Club have just dug their heels in. They are not infallible. And they need to be fucking told so.

Standing doesn’t necessarily equate to atmosphere. But it certainly helps. The key thing is getting like minded people together. Guarantee, there’d be many in the SC who wouldn’t have moved to another part of the ground if they placed safe standing/singing section there - like the Leazes. People have to REALLY want to do it. Get it in Leazes Level 7 and Level 4. The whole corner. That would separate those who want it, to those who just want to be part of it imo. I’d happily take the back row of Level 7 to be part of it - I bet many others wouldn’t…they’re not that arsed, they just want to say they’re part of it - when it’s easy to be, when they’ve had that seat for years with a great view, and now it has singers in there too. Total win win for those in and around the SC tbh.

@Heron, does there become a point when some at WF walk away as it’s not worth the effort? This has always been a fear of mine tbh. But the lads are totally within their rights to do that as well. I helped out once and it was back crippling work. Not sure I could be arsed doing that every week for tourists. My dad was telling me, on Wednesday, they were in Leazes Level 4 below the TNT studio. We had an attacking corner and there was a bloke who turned around and was taking photos of Laura Woods and waving at her, trying to get here attention instead of watching our attacking corner. He was doing it most of the game apparently. If that’s the new state of fan, I’m not sure I’d be arsed doing back breaking displays every week for that kind of person tbh.

If people are miserable about it in the Gallowgate - do the Leazes. The original singing end. And I assume much more flexibility with fewer ST holders.

Good post. Just frustrating that the Club’s ticketing team. Chain of: Dan Ginger Yvette Thompson Steven Tickell Clearly don’t have a clue on what football ticketing, atmosphere, value of match day experience actually equals. If they get it right however…the Club and customers (fans…but I feel like a customer atm) will be happy.

That says it all about the demography of ST holders tbh. Say there’s 35,000 ST holders. 5,200 + 1800 in the corner = 7000. Only 20% bothered about standing (and no doubt singing majority of the game).

Absolute fucking pet hate of mine. Stand for 10 mins pre game. Stand for 15 mins at HT. Unless you’re literally frail and unable to stand for 45 mins - I don’t get it
