Good for you @TBG. Better to be in that not. I had a Twitter disagreement with one such person however who is now trying to buy a membership and didn’t know how. I’m not at all convinced they’re even a Newcastle fan. I’m more than happy with people wanting to support the club and indeed buying a membership. I had some blokes laughing and taking the piss out of me last season for the clapping. I’m not sure how to describe it… (I think it’s after “Get into them and fuck them up “- which is also barely ever sung). I did hear the clapping from the Leazes in the Strawberry Corner last week however! I tried to explain to these blokes and they just took the piss further. “What’s clapping going to do man”. Completely missing the point. That’s the mentality you have to compete with now.

The whole situation is really making me feel disillusioned now. So much so it’s totally affecting my entire match day experience. I felt as flat as a pancake yesterday. It’s not meant to be like this. There’s a plethora of reasons for me feeling like shit at a game now. But having gone to a good few games this season - my main theory has to be that I’m randomly allocated a seat. I absolutely hate it. Every game, a different seat. Every game a different stand or section. Because you haven’t selected it you haven’t really got a clue where you’re going to be. Fortunately I have an understanding of the turnstiles, accesses, blocks etc. So I can find my seat easily enough. But lord knows what it’s like for people who’ve rarely stepped foot in the ground.

Leazes Level 2 - a stone’s throw away from where I used to be. NE Corner wasn’t anywhere what it used to be. Sitting on back rows is now pretty standard other than the ST holders. The odd ‘Eddie Howe’ chant was sung and snaked around to the Leazes. Bumped into few lads I used to stand next to and they asked why I wasn’t there anymore and they ask how come the others now sit down on their phones. Mint ?? Leazes was awful. Burnley very audible. And a group of 50 kids were very loud. I’d love to know how they all got in sat together - because I sure as hell can’t manage it with 2.

Also, an oft forgotten point and another reason to be annoyed. Burnley is £44 a ticket for Cat 2. A similar game last season was £35 for members. An increase in over 25%. Season Ticket holder prices went up 3%. Members are being milked dry and mugged off.

And members have been charged a minimum of £5 more per ticket. £60 a ticket? On top of an increase in member fees. I’m honestly debating my membership next season like. They’re taking the piss.

I honestly think this forum could sort the Box Office out on a volunteer basis. The Trust have effectively become a de facto Customer Services portal for the Box Office anyway.
