  1. If Ashley wants him he will get him. The story at first was he left the whole thing to Lee and Carr with the current bad run he might rethink and take the responsibility himself. Mike Ashley, famous in sport for tenaciously pursuing prospective signings.
  2. Wonder why Moyes odds are so low; lately he's been pretty adamant that he's not leaving Real Sociedad and wants to put his stamp on the team. The only thing I can see is that he wants to refurbish how Real Sociedad operate regarding scouting, coaching, etc... from the ground up and he might leave if he doesn't get his way.
  3. One thing I love; when the two last La Liga weekends are scheduled with all the games played at the same time
  4. Did Martínez even play in the top flight? (And the SPL doesn't count as such)
  5. Getafe have some names given how pointless they are: Laudrup Míchel Schuster
  6. Any chance of this or not? It's not a PED so I'd be surprised.
  7. I really hope you sign Austin. All the wrestling puns and gifs on here whenever he did something of note would be glorious.
  8. Valencia: Di Stéfano Koeman Valdano Mundo Valverde Pellegrino Djukic
  9. Anyway, this is a fun trivia. I wonder which team has had the best set of former footballers turned managers. Real Madrid: Di Stéfano Valdano Amancio Amaro Ancelotti Heynckes Schuster Bayern: Beckenbauer Guardiola Klinsmann Heynckes Milan: Seedorf Inzaghi Ancelotti Tassotti (caretaker) Leonardo Internazionale: Luís Suárez Mancini Leonardo Some of the placings are rough, and I'm sure I'm missing some names. I'm going a bit quick.
  10. I had doubts myself about who placing above who; ultimately I went with the fact that Guardiola was the kind of player we built teams around. Rijkaard achieved far more, but I don't think he was the lynchpin in them. I only have a good recollection of his late years, though.
  11. Cruyff Guardiola Rijkaard Kubala Luís Enrique Then there's some club legends that went to manage us like César, Rifé or Samitier, but I don't think they are much known outside our turf. Apparently Martino was a bit of a legend for Newell's, too. Wasn't intended as a brag, certainly. Take out Cruyff and you probably have a better set. I expect Xavi to take over in a few years, that should balance it a little.
  12. Diego Torres over at El País claims that Madrid sounded Mourinho for a shock return to the Bernabéu, but he turned them down. Also the club doesn't fancy Klopp because they believe he's too independent. All our media are betting for Ancelotti to stay, right now.
  13. Just seen the Boca - River scenes. What a shambles; I hope they get done hard for that.
  14. One of our rags saying today that despite interest from other clubs Sandro is going to stay put this season.
  15. Cruyff Guardiola Rijkaard Kubala Luís Enrique Then there's some club legends that went to manage us like César, Rifé or Samitier, but I don't think they are much known outside our turf. Apparently Martino was a bit of a legend for Newell's, too.
  16. Sevilla en route to another EL final.
  17. I contend that Mathieu has been a good squad player, it was just madness to pay what we paid for him, at his age, to be a squad player. Vermaelen, well...
  18. I will be glad if we pay that bonus. But yeah, words fail me to describe that deal.
  19. He has decent chance of finishing the season with 40 goals while playing on the wing. Aye, he's shit like
  20. The UEFA Best Player award uses a similar format as the old Ballon D'Or (journalist voting), and so far it's been: 2010-2011: Messi 2011-2012: Iniesta 2012-2013: Ribery 2013-2014: Ronaldo
  21. Ramos out for season (all 2 games) with a torn soleus; apparently he kept on playing against Juve despite getting injured in the first half.
  22. And Bayern now... but yeah, Jémez has achieved a lot with Rayo, but it's his mujahideen-esque commitment to attacking football what makes me love him.
