Man City 5-0 NUFC - 21/2/15 "Match" thread - Post match reaction from p. 1

What a shit day of football. -
To be honest they have the potential to be more than they have been until now. Their current success should enable them to improve in all their current sponsorship deals, the new collective contract *should* improve their TV money (although they already are the third most favored club - although miles behind Barçadrid). Dunno about doubling their income, but they are in a position to grow as a club. A few years ago, they were on the brink of administration. The things a talismanic manager can achieve...
-
Well, it seems that Atlético want to quell rumours about Simeone's future: Cadena SER are reporting the club is poised to offer him a contract running until 2022. Current contract runs until 2017 but has a "get out" clause at the end of every season that Atlético want to get rid of. The new contract would also involve more control regarding transfers, and a pledge to double Atlético's income and investment in the next 5 years.

One of those 3 made him miss a CL final.

For us at the moment, Perez. Historically Bellamy. For us in recent times it's got to be Larsson. Rather poor scoring record but great at making space for others and enabling Ronaldinho/Eto'o to do their thing. Shoutout to Villa and how cannily clever he was moving in and around the box to drag defences and create space for Messi, but his record is close to 1 in 2. Currently it's Suárez. But he seems to be hitting his streak, scoring-wise.
-
More seriously, I was about to name Kluivert but he's almost 1 in 2.
-
Emile Heskey.

Lee Ryder makes me feel dumb, I honestly can't understand half of the quotes you lot post here. I keep thinking there must be some weird English slang at play that is beyond my knowledge, and that somehow makes those paragraphs not be as nonsensical as they seem.

Fantasy Premier League 2014/15 - Svein best coach in da league
Village Idiot replied to LRD's topic in Football
Forgot that I haven't confirmed the transfers yet. I just want to get Costa back in and the only way is dropping Agüero or one of my big money midfielders. Forgot the LC, too. Might get him after that weekend, maybe. -

I'm going to regret this, but I dropped Agüero so I could afford the following: Bellerín-Monreal-Clyne-Wisdom-Hutton Fàbregas-Sánchez-Hazard-Downing-Colback() Sturridge-Costa-Kane -
He was good in La Liga, too. His spell at Celta was particularly impressive. He played mostly as a winger in Spain, though.

with the #10. #14 would work too http://www.blaugranas.com/media/galeria/25/9/0/2/1/n_f_c_barcelona_johan_cruyff-5491209.jpg http://dalje.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2007/m06/x15143589712328483.jpg http://s23.postimg.org/ae3qoeknv/jack_colback_bar_a.jpg

Yeah, we are getting hoops it seems.

Thanks Gonna try to convince another friend that usually buys vintage replica shirts to get one for him so we get shipping free.

Well, the former Osasuna executive director has now admitted to spending €2,4m in bribes. Which is probably the worst spent money ever since they still got relegated. Espanyol and Betis named among the recipients. There also seems to be betting issues involved, with large sums being invested that have been traced back to players of involved teams. Osasuna drew 1-1 against Espanyol, and then won 2-1 against Betis in the last two games of last season. They needed more than that though, in order to avoid relegation; 6 points or at least winning 3-0 against Betis to improve their GD above the teams they were competing with.
-
Osasuna's last 3 games of past season are also under scrutiny for match fixing, Osasuna allegedly spent €1,5m in bribes to stave off relegation. However, Osasuna ended up being relegated anyway and they didn't get particularly good results in those games, so this one looks a bit iffy.

It looks classy and has the appropriate colors, I just might have found my first ever NUFC top. Which name are you getting on the back? Seeing as you're Spanish, may I suggest LUQUE 7? I don't usually put names on my football shirts, I like to wear them and the numbers end up wearing out and looking s***. If I were to put one, without a doubt it would be Ginola. Loved him. Anyway, they don't serve outside the UK.

Yeah, that was one of his problems in La Liga. He was vulnerable to being closed down since he doesn't have the dribbling ability of Xavi or Iniesta to get out of a tight space, for example.

Just asked a couple of Sporting/Racing fans about the Spanish players you've been linked to in that article. - Concha is a winger than tends to drift central, very quick and very technical. Works hard and protects his fullback well. Likes getting into the box. My friend reckons he's a good prospect but very green. Will probably get moved centrally. - Meré, according to my other friend, is the best centreback prospect in years at Sporting. Still very young and very green (he hasn't even played for the seniors), but he reckons he's going to do very well. There seems to be some hype about this lad, after googling around a bit.

Loved the "I'm not racist, I started a black player!" bit from Sacchi. Disgraceful
