For what I've seen he's good in the air. This is a land of midgets, mind.
-
Any followers of Italian football can fill me on him? An Atlético fan friend of mine is quite excited by the prospect of buying him.
-
Alderweireld is a good footballer, but he's a bit weak and not too aggressive. Simeone hasn't used him much. He's also of that weird Belgian centreback stock that seem better going forward than actually defending.

I miss the mad bastard, he's ridiculous.
-
And I subbed him out for Agüero. FML.

A friend just messaged me that Guardiola is starting Alonso as CB. Is that right?
-
So little ability with the ball. The guy plays football everyday for a living! Better than Piqué according to Fergie, you know. ManU are awful, awful.
-
I just can't see any better candidate than Rooney, to be frank.

Per day, not per round actually. There's a hard limit, IIRC. 0.3? -
The secret footballer in his second book said that it happens a lot that failed drug tests are reported as injuries by clubs. It usually happens when a player is out for a large period of time with an unknown or vague injury Does that mean they send them to rehab while pretending it's whatever injury? I have always wondered why there's so little cases of footballers having drug problems during their careers, given one would think they would be pretty vulnerable to them (lots of money, stress, etc...).

Thought the majority of SA players have a Spanish/Italian/Portuguese passport. They do but it seems he doesn't. Not too mention low quality South American bureaucratic and administrative skills. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/marcos-rojo-why-is-it-taking-so-long-for-manchester-united-to-get-a-work-permit-9699288.html I have never understood the WP system in the UK. So a guy that started for one of the WC finalists has trouble securing a permit, but some guy that played every game for Jordan or the UAE (yes, they are top 70), would have no issue? Stupid.

El Molinón, became the oldest professional football stadium in Spain once San Mamés was knocked out: http://fotos00.lne.es/fotos/noticias/646x260/2008-07-02_IMG_2008-06-25_01.31.01__297092.jpg

Also, the Vicente Calderón. I don't think many stadiums have a main road running under the main stand. http://www.stadiumguide.com/wp-content/gallery/vicentecalderon/vicentecalderon4_0.jpg

Aye, always loved that myself. The Benito Villamarín also has weird asymmetry. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y0ty8-mNCKo/TrsAO1hKB3I/AAAAAAAAAL4/y63fWBptW7Q/s320/betis13.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/48/Panor%C3%A1mica%2C_Estadio_Benito_Villamar%C3%ADn.jpg/1920px-Panor%C3%A1mica%2C_Estadio_Benito_Villamar%C3%ADn.jpg They ran out of funds when they modernised it 10 years ago, so it remains unfinished to this day.

I did; given his past history of aggravated injuries I would be surprised if he isn't benched. I plan to get him back after the break. -
That's him off my FF team then. Damn.
-
I'm happy, mind. After your streak when signing Spanish players (José Enrique nonwithstanding) I think we owe you as a nation to give you a player that's not an embarrassment.
-
I'm a foreigner, I often mix he/it because we don't have a neutral/thing gender I know how to use them, but when writing quickly sometimes he it just happens.
-
Is he really that hot of a prospect for you? I'd be sick if a young American went into Pardewland. He was easily one of the best players in Liga Adelante last season. The lad has come from nowhere, so you can never be sure whether it was just a hot season or he really exploded. A lot of people was surprised it went to you instead of being captured by one of the Spanish big clubs for their B teams, however.
-
Alan Pardew, destroying Spain's hopes for the 2018 WC.
-
Moving to Newcastle gives you international caps He's highly rated though, I hope he can thrive at your club.
-
Spain doesn't have a "Wembley" and the NT plays throughout the country. Heck, there would be hell on hearth if they tried to have the team play only in Madrid. It brings the team closer to the fans; the atmosphere is great when they go to Valencia, for example.

Yeah, the guy was actually pretty upbeat when talking about it. I found an English transcription: http://www.conmebol.com/en/content/batistuta-i-asked-they-cut-my-legs-because-pain
-
No way Love Batistuta. Was it a particular part of his leg? He said that many injuries and ops have left them without cartilage in his joints, which makes simple movements very painful.
