Not that different from Chelsea, except even more staggeringly large sums of money involved. Very little in common with Blackburn. f*** all in common with Man U. Do you not think Blackburn bought the title in 95 then?, yes the sums were much smaller, but compared to everybody else they were spending a lot more. As for Man U, they have just spent hundreds of millions over a much larger scale of time than anyone else.

Is what they have done/doing really any different to what the likes of manchester united, chelsea, blackburn and others before them have done over the years?

Krul - 8 - Commanded the box excellently. Raylor - 7 - No real complaints, was very well protected by Jonas Saylor - 8 - got his head to everything. Colo - 9 - Didn't let Stoke bully him for one moment. Simpson - 7 - Solid, which was refreshing, hardly noticed Ethrington was playing. Cabaye - 6 - Wasn't as good as in previous weeks. Guthrie - 9 - Had big reservations over him, but he really was brilliant. Jonas - 8 - Pretty much played left back, but helped Raylor superbly, aswell as venturing forward occasionally. Obertan - 8 - Best game by far, i thought he was our biggest threat, and always available as an outlet. Ba - 9 - Superb all round performance, held it well, and took his goals just as neatly. Best - 8 - Worked hard, chased everthing down.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14708743.stm Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has posted on Twitter that he is on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge. Benayoun, 31, has seen just one minute of action for the Blues this season and looks to be surplus to requirements following the arrival of fellow midfielder Juan Mata from Valencia. It has been rumoured Benayoun would be included in an offer from Chelsea for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric. "Negotiating with several teams... news soon," wrote Benayoun. Newcastle have also been linked with the Israel captain, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool last summer on a free transfer. Benayoun was restricted to 10 appearances for the club last season due to an Achilles injury, which kept him out for six months.
