Who's offering this? I'm going to stick a tenner on that as an absolute worst case scenario saver bet. Skybet. 4/1 them, 5/1 us, double bet 29s. Cheers.

Atmosphere is dead. You can just tell that this means nothing to both sets of fans.

Same team as last time out then. -
I disagree They have a very good academy which would in my opinion do very well playing in league one. You just have to look at Armstrong in league one with Coventry and now Blackburn especially when their u18s regularly stuff ours. Their Academy side hardly tore the Checkatrade Trophy apart against league One and Two sides.

1-0 loss. Goalkeeping error from Dubravka costing us the goal. It's what happens to us. -
I dunno man, the quality of L1 is beyond dreadful, just look at how the teams at the top struggled so badly in the champo last year. Wigan, Blackburn and Rotherham. I would expect them to bounce straight back up next year if they drop this year. It's a pub league in all but name. Same as the league we won last year. Well that's what the Mackems said it was anyway.....

It isn't. I posted something about that on here last year. My cousin who worked in the Commercial department at SAFC at the time told me that. The genius of it is you don't even need to then get those people through the turnstiles. The very act of handing out the tickets, even if they go straight in the bin, means you just add them on to the attendance. I think this year they're probably doing just that - Not giving them out to punters so they don't lose revenue, but at the same time leaving a pile of 9,000 of them in a box somewhere that is accessible but nobody will ever find, and then claiming that as those tickets are potentially in circulation then they can just whack that number onto their "crowd" for the day. Surely with the current state of their finances they would be looking to reduce the official attendance figures They would pay less tax on a 20,000 crowd than 25,000 due to the reduced turnover I'm led to believe that HMRC are only interested in the actual receipts and not the crowd figure.

That's just killed me, as if the football isn't enough Tbf the odds are heavily stacked in the favour of it landing on an empty seat.

We do something and they've always got to follow despite all their protestations abouts banners and protests being cringey and "a Mag thing to do". As has been mentioned the big problem they have is that a crowd surfer requires a crowd above all else so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. If the club gets wind of it they might withdraw the under 16s for £1 offer and 4 adult tickets for £15 deals they're currently running, which will decimate their pitiful crowds further and will make a difficult situation regarding having enough supporters to hold up a large surfer flag, almost impossible.

Honestly cant fathom what hasn't arrived, I could sit and do 40 security passes in a couple of hours right now for my place, Sounds like bullshit. These so called security passes will no doubt be the same passes they issue to people doing the stadium tours 3 times a day, 7 days a week. Ashley didn't want to risk any form of protest against him to be seen by a Worldwide audience live on TV. That's the top and bottom of it. -
You are such a cabbage. Absolute shithouse of the highest order. Proper bellpiece. Hahaha imagine being a Newcastle fan and getting so wound up about somebody having a pop at Sunderland What a shithouse. A bellpiece even

Leicester manager got very excited about the SJP atmosphere this season as well. -
This. There's around 17 or 18,000 still turn up to watch Sunderland by all accounts. If they went tits up end even half of those fans followed other teams in the area, NE football in general would be far stronger because lots of teams further down the ladder in our area get pitiful support (South Shields the exception). 300 odd at Gateshead the other night is terrible for a club at their level. Ticket prices need to come down and going to Gateshead to watch them isn’t exactly a welcoming environment, s*** stadium, s*** atmosphere etc. They need a new ground badly. They let Newcastle (and Sunderland I think) season ticket holders in for a tenner and I think their standard ticket prices for adults is around £15 which is on the cheaper side of average for that league but watching a match at an athletics stadium doesn't appeal to me or most others by the looks of it. I'd rather watch a Northern League game and stand pitchside.

Mental isn't it. Mourinho, Klopp, Wenger (Fergie used to as well) always mention the crowd up here and how good the atmosphere is and how supportive the Newcastle fans are but come on this forum and you'd think the place was a library!
