Newcastle United vs West Bromwich Albion - 09/05/15 @ 3pm (Not on TV)

I chose him at LB because Dummett is a decent CB. And Colback was a car crash at LB in the derby. It's Anita or Jonas for me. And Anita can pass and move with a hint of pace. I can't see another option really. Anita has looked like a fish out of water at full back, in fact it's been bordering on embarrassing watching him try to play there. Add the fact that he's on his wrong side and it's a disaster waiting to happen. They'll target him and he'll get tortured. Jonas every time for LB. Worked a treat against the mackems, that. Elaborate please. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Match/Report/0,,10278~3143675,00.html One of the worst full back performances I've ever seen. I chose him at LB because Dummett is a decent CB. This is a bloke who's played there for Argentina yet you'd rather play Anita there, a player with the heart the size if a pea, who looks totally out of his depth in his proper position let alone in defence and on his weaker side? That actually beggars belief when you think about it. -

You, me, anyone would be a better bet. He's lost 8/8 and has antagonised the entire playing squad. There literally could not be a worse qualified person on the planet to take charge of these last 3 games.
-
We know the players have downed tools and couldn't give a fuck, same as last season, and so does Carver but as the manager he can't come out and say what he said. Far better to keep everyone sweet and then come the full time whistle against West Ham the incriminations can begin regardless of what league we'll be playing in the following season. Any ounce of respect he had from any player in that squad was totally wiped out by his rant on Saturday. That he's leading us into the final 3 games simply beggars belief.

My seat will remain empty. -
This should happen. Last time I was on the pitch was after we lost 2-1 at home to Hull in the final game of the 1990/91 season but that was more of a celebratory invasion as I think the mackems might have been relegated that day. Needs to be far more vitriol this time.
-
Sacking him now isn't a gamble at all. Keeping him on guarantees us a 35 point finish which won't be enough to keep us up. Getting rid gives us the possibility if 2/3 more points because the players might get out of their huffs and hopefully we'd get the new manager bounce.
-
Same here. One of their objections, beside the Glazers, was their opposition to Sky TV so I trust that should they get into the football league they would refuse the sky money otherwise they're being awfully hypocritical.
-
Not saying much but he's been one if our better performers this season. Should be him or Janmaat for me and Janmaat's suspended.

Silent. 95% of those who turn up now only do so to get out of the house/away from their lass for a few hours. Most of the vocal supporters packed it in a while ago. -

I wouldn't support a new team. I'd rather go and support my local Non league club which is what I'm going to do next season along with the 3 others I go to the match with who have all also cancelled their tickets for next season. There's 3 clubs within walking distance of where I live, Newcastle Benfield, West Allotment Celtic and Team Northumbria. I don't want to go and watch a bunch of students, and I wouldn't watch a team with Celtic in it's name so Newcastle Benfield is the obvious choice, they still have Newcastle in their name and now Blue Star no longer exist they are the city's 2nd team now. I know I'll enjoy it more as well and I'll save a small fortune.
-
Agreed. Cowards tackle. Problem is we have a team full of cowards. Hardly ideal in a relegation scrap.
-
I've always had some sympathy for Williamson. He's clearly not up to it at this level but because of the sheer incompetence of those running the club he's found himself as a more or less guaranteed starter. He's hardly going to go up to the manager and say thanks for the wages but I'm not really good enough to play so I want taken out of the team. For me yesterday what he did was deliberate, same as Debuchy during the 0-6 v Liverpool.
-
There's nothing left to argue now. We have 3 games left and we need a minimum of 3 points to stat in the league, possibly more with our pathetic goal difference. The manager is not only way out of his depth but he's completely lost the dressing room. Obviously you can't clear out an entire playing squad so for us to have any chance of staying up Carver needs to be relieved of his duties immediately. There's no other course of action left to take.
-
Our home crowd is to gutless to do anything if the sort. A lot of them deserve this but at least the likes of Ujpest will get 4 more days away from his lass next season. Every cloud and all that.

They went to Everton and Chelsea and won last season. Everton were unbeaten at home and Mourinho had never lost in the league at Stamford Bridge. After last season I'd never write them off until it's mathematically impossible because they've got this knack (and a bit of luck) of winning when they desperately need to. As I was saying.

This team have no fight. Brown, O'Shea, Larsson, Cattermole, Fletcher, Wickham all still there so it's not that different and they have a better manager as well.As for having no fight they've proved they've got a lot more than we do. If we lose on Saturday and they win I know who my money would be on to fill that last relegation place.

Also, it's difficult to predict results this time of year, as motivation is a huge issue. How motivated will Everton be, with really nothing to play for, Chelsea having secured the league ? Arsenal is the only banker loss for me on that list, but even then we've seen plenty times Arsenal not win games you would expect them to. Who is their other game against, they have 5 left I believe ? They've got Southampton, Everton, Leicester, Arsenal and Chelsea to play.

Congratulations John. You're a record breaker.

Agree. We look the most vulnerable of the 5 teams not wanting to finish in 18th. We were always dependant on the teams below continuing to lose because we knew we'd end up stuck on 35 points with an out of his depth manager trying to coax a performance out of a team of cowards. Leicester, Villa and Hull have hit form and the mackems have been there done that and I think they'll end up with 36/37 points.
