  1. He succeeded at Leverkusen with none of those players though, won the league and cup double, ending Bayerns run off 11 straight league titles in the process, went an entire domestic campaign unbeaten and got to a European Final. When he took control the previous season they were in the relegation zone Also your post is very contradictory. On one hand you're saying he was useless at Real Madrid and immediately after you say he'll have the pick of all the top teams So are you saying he's good or bad?
  2. Aye that's pretty much it. Yesterday was just another case of rinse and repeat of an all too familiar story. Absolutely horrible game to watch when you're just sat there waiting for the inevitable. I actually left the Junction and went for my bus on 85 minutes so that I wouldn't see the winner that I knew was coming.
  3. I've noticed that. Trippier still loves that ball down the touchline (see Osulas goal v Man Utd) but he's always more reluctant to play it when Elanga is in fornt of him and generally comes inside instead. Probably because he knows that if he gives it to Elanga he's going to have some defending to do very soon afterwards.
  4. The 2nd half was a shit show from the very first whistle. Ramsey aimlessly booting our kick off out for a goal kick to a backdrop of empty seats as people seemed to take forever to return after their HT pint set the tone. Still loads not back in their seats on 50 mins. The next 10/15 mins was pretty much played out in our half. We gave them a way back into the game and they went for it. Turned to my mate 5 mins before they equalised and said what was going to happen. Was so bloody obvious. Mackems weren't good. They didn't need to be. They had a gameplan of still being in the game at HT and then simply making the most of the opportunities that we would give them.
  5. Certainly some similarities here. Shame if he hasn't learned from the latter stages of his Bournemouth career;
  6. We won't sign him. After seeing him play this season and the way Howe bangs on about PSR we can't be pulling out £20m (plus big wages) on someone we already know to be a dud. He'll go back to Southampton at the end of the season and thankfully that's the last we'll see of him.
  7. Forest must rub their hands together when we get on the phone wanting to deal with them.
  8. Another ticket price hike in that time. My mate has seen his and his bairns ticket cost almost double. Hasn't done anything to stop the illegal selling of tickets on 3rd party sites. I don't think he's offered anything to make the "fan experience" any better as of yet.
  9. He's failing miserably on that score then.

All those fucking morons applauding that shit fest is a bigger concern to me. Were they genuinely happy with what they'd just watched?
  11. Nothing of what you've said there explains why we can no longer do the basics in defending. 1 clean sheet in the last 17 games. 3+ goals conceded in 6 of those 17 games. Why we can't hold onto a lead, or why we concede so many inury time goals. Nor does it explain why our midfield can't take a grip of a game by the scruff of its neck. Aye I get Isak set us back and his replacements are sub par but that doesn't explain a lot of the other parts of this shit show.
  12. Seriously just fuck off you coward. You and I both know you'd be nowhere near this place if the result was reversed. Go and enjoy it with your own.
  13. Utter dogshit yet again. So fucking frustrating that we spunked nearly all the Isak money on him and Wissa man.
  14. Aye. Was actually a very hard watch. Whilst I think it's time he was gone I have far too much love and respect for him to see things go sour for him here. It would be awful. He stands alongside Kevin Keegan, and slightly ahead of Sir Bobby as my all time favourite NUFC manager. Just don't want him going on too long.
  15. The only positive today. I'm sorry like but as a footballer if coming out of the tunnel and seeing that today doesn't inspire you and get the hairs on the back of neck up then nothing will.
  16. His achievements here aren't lost on me I can assure you that. How long are we going to give him slack because he kept us up against the odds in 2022 though? Do you think Liverpool will hold onto Slot for another 3 years because he won them their first non asterisk title in 35 years if he continues to underperform or will they think like a big, progressive club and make a change becausethey feel he can't take them any further? Howe has done a great job here overall, but at the moment he's tarnishing his legacy.
  17. We actually played far better football in the 2nd half of his first season here than we've played this season, despite all that investment in the squad.
  18. He's been here 4.5 years though. Most managers don't get that luxury. Surely after that amount of time the state of the squad is on him. It's his squad that he's invested £550m on since January 2022. He 100% should be held accountable there. Maybe he's targeted the wrong type of player profile? Maybe he's placed too much emphasis on wanting PL proven players? Maybe he's went for too many athletes instead of targeting a couple of technical players? There are some mitigating factors of course there are. It's been a punishing season, we've played more games than any other teams in any of the other major leagues. The impact the Isak saga has shouldn't be underestimated either, although I'm not sure how much of the blame he should shoulder over us not being able to defend anymore.
  19. So the worth of boast worlds so to speak
  20. And in those 17 games we've shipped 3+ goals on 6 occasions including 7 on Wednesday night. Now I'm not doubting Barcelona are a talented football team but they only managed 1 goal at home to relegation threatened Real Vallecano today.
  21. Pope might still be a NUFC player next season, hopefully as the number 2 goalkeeper. Ramsdale won't be. Play Pope for the rest of the season.
  22. 92/93 was definitely the best year for atmosphere and yeah both ends were totally open which shows bad stadium design can be overcome with the right people inside. Was a real eye opener hearing how loud the mackems sounded when I was walking down past the old Labour Club and onto Percy Street. Everyone I've spoken to who was at the match says they were pretty much inaudible inside the ground for the most part which does show acoustics does play a part but that only tells part of the story.
  23. We are one of the biggest clubs playing in the best league in the World. We'd have some pull you'd think.
  24. I'd tend to agree with you more if we hadn't been playing like this in August/September as well. It's been a season of generally shite performances with the odd good one thrown in once in a while. Setting the tone for that 2nd half by booting our kick off out for a goal kick has nothing to do with us playing a game on Wednesday night.

The warning signs regarding his unprofessional approach and questionable attitude were there when he went on strike at Brentford I suppose so we can't be too surprised at how he's turned out.
