  2. It's ok to do that once you reach a certain age.

    Season Tickets

Nah this is the first season i've been on the monthly DD scheme mate. Remember it was 11 monthly installments from 1st March meaning that i've got one more payment until this season is paid for. I wouldn't care but I read the terms and conditions, which isn't like me, and what to do if you couldn't renew for the following season but can't remember what they were now.

    Season Tickets

Needing a bit of help regarding how to go about cancelling my season ticket for next year. I'm on the monthly DD and started paying for this season back in March over 11 months which means it's paid for in January. However since I got my ST for this season i've got wor lass up the duff and my shift pattern has changed at work meaning money will be a bit tighter and I can only get to around 75% of the matches now anyway. Want to cancel it for next season, well downgrade to a membership anyway, but is it just a case of going to the ticket office and telling them or does it need to be put in writing and is there a deadline for informing them? Just thought i'd ask on here first before I ring their 0844 number and spend ages on hold.
  5. On another note I think we should start looking into the allocation of tickets we give both the Manchester clubs. Both are by far the worst offenders for throwing things down onto the home fans below and it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured by one of these idiots. Apparently a woman in the Leazes End was hit by that flare thrown by the Man City fan yesterday. Give them both 1,800 tickets like what we get at their place from next season. It won't eradicate the problem but having 1,200 less of the cowards up there won't do any harm either.
  6. Bad time for us to be playing them and it's a good time for them to be playing us. It's got defeat written all over it for us today.
  7. Doubt it. There will be some mild booing which will turn to a gentle ripple of applause as Santon walks over to the Gallowgate Corner and then people will just drift off into the night. Apathy rules.
  8. Fans can pay on the gate for Newcastle's Europa League Group D home game against Club Brugge on Thursday - but they are urged to arrive in good time. The match kicks off at 8.05pm and from 6.30pm, cash-only turnstiles will be in operation with prices set at £15 for adults and £5 concessions. The following turnstiles have been allocated: Sir John Hall West Corner Level 2: 10/11/12 Sir John Hall East Corner: 33/34/37/38 Gallowgate Upper: 66/67 Gallowgate West Corner: 71/72/73 Meanwhile, South Stand collections on the concourse above Shearer's Bar will open from 3.30pm on Thursday, but supporters are advised to arrive early whether collecting or buying tickets as the Club envisage high demand.
  9. Heard we'd sold around 20,000 up until last night. Hopefully with todays sales plus all the cash turnstiles we might end up with around 30,000 which would be a decent crowd.
  10. Haha. Had my ticket a week now and never noticed. Just checked after reading your post and mine says the same!

    Season Tickets

I'd imagine that you just stick them in the same slot at the turnstile as you would with your season ticket.
  12. Would be more than happy to see that team out tomorrow. Lots of people seem to be playing this game down for some reason and apparently we've only shifted 17,000 tickets. The great season we had last year, all that hard work put in, well this is our reward. Going out in August, before the group stages would be a disaster in my opinion, maybe not on the same scale as the Partizan Belgrade game, but would make all that hard work put in last season look rather pointless. I just hope Pardew and the players are taking it more seriously than the supporters seem to be.
  13. I Remember that. He certainly isn't afraid to give a penalty (he awarded 2 to West Brom last week) which mean that should Coloccini not make it then it's vital that Perch keeps his place alongside Taylor because Williamson will be nailed on to give one away tomorrow.
  14. Just reading the preview for this game and noticed Phil Dowd is the ref tomorrow. Would I be right in thinking he's been a bit of a lucky charm for us recently? The 2 obvious games that he reffed us that spring to mind were the 5-1 Demolition Derby and the 4-4 with Arsenal when he gave us 3 penalties in those 2 games and i'm sure he was the ref when we beat Norwich at home last season as well.
  15. I did the same thing. I sat in the same seat in the Leazes from the time they built it in 1993 up until 2007 and I now sit in the Gallowgate. When I packed in the Leazes in '07 the vast majority of people there had also sat in the same seats all that time but when I had a look up there on the fancam the bloke who used to sit to my left is still there but I don't recognise anyone else. Saying that there aren't that many season ticket holders in the Leazes nowadays.
  16. I bet they weren't thrilled at being dragged abroad for the third time in a few weeks for a non event. It's a 1 hour flight to Amsterdam and about 30 minutes from there to The Hague. Hardly a difficult journey.

    Season Tickets

Bought a couple of extra tickets off my season ticket for some mates travelling down from Scotland and looking at the seating plan it looks like a lot of people have moved from the Leazes End to the Gallowgate for next season. Gallowgate is already very well populated for the Spurs game whereas the Leazes has literally 1000's of unsold seats.
  18. He's caused a meltdown on RTG thanks to this : https://twitter.com/TimKrul/status/205386712912904192/photo/1
  19. Six months ago he was our main striker but now he isn't. In fact he hasn't even scored in the latter half of those 6 months. I don't think anyone would want to see him leave but if he wants to go then that's fair enough. If we sign a good replacement I won't have any complaints. If a player doesn't want to stay then I always think it's better to let him go anyway so if that does turn out to be the case then it's Thanks very much and goodbye Demba.
  20. This. I have trust in our scouting team that should we lose him we will go out and get ourselves a replacement who will do a good job for us and is preferably not African so that both our front two don't disappear mid season. He had a purple patch from the back end of September through to January but from the beginning of the season up until we played Blackburn on 24th September he hadn't scored a single goal for us and his performances had been awful. He then went 3 months from the beginning of February until the end of the season without hitting the back of the net either. I rate him as a player and i'd love him to stay but out of him, Cisse and Ben Arfa if we were to lose one of them I would want it to be him every time as I think he'll be much easier to replace than the other 2. Whether someone is willing to pay £7m+ for a player with a huge question mark over his knee and who will more than likely not pass a medical is another matter altogether.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2012/05/15/nufc-reveal-they-have-season-ticket-waiting-list-72703-30971098/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Just confirmation of what we already knew in todays Chronicle. Season tickets selling fast, waiting lists in operation in many parts of the stadium and anyone wanting to try and get into one of the popular areas, ie Strawberry Corner, Family section, East Stand advised to get their names down asap and they'll be contacted next month to see if there's any spare seasts remaining.
  23. Player for player of course they should beat us (as should Chelsea have) but we've defied the odds all season and I certainly wouldn't be suprised if we get a draw or even beat them. We need the atmosphere that we had against Liverpool. When SJP is at it's hostile best I wouldn't back any team to come up here and beat us. Everyone's going to be so up for it, players and fans alike and I can see it ending 1-1 or us nicking it 2-1. The players will get a great send off afterwards as well which is richly deserved. I can't remember the last time we had such a likeable group of players playing for us. Their commitment all season has been amazing.
