    Yoane Wissa

People saying he's not doing enough doesn't automatically paint him as the scapegoat ffs

His touch is absolutely terrible mind.
  3. They'll bowl him out in a wheelchair if they need to against us.
  4. He's Reggie Le Piss again then.

  6. Got to say I thought the referee was excellent last night. Night and day compared to the usual PL standards.
  7. Crowd reaction towards him sounded fantastic and it clearly gave him a massive confidence boost. Needs a goal or an assist but I still wouldn't write him off just yet. There's definitely more positive signs appearing.
  8. I was in the NUFC away end in Leverkusen last month which was top class
  9. Not really tbh. I left straight on FT so haven't really spoken to anyone but you could see them looking across at the NW corner when the noise was bouncing from the SE corner and Gallowgate when they were going for it as well so it was catching their attention. It also quietens the away fans down. You could see it. They know from up there they can't have much of an impact on the overall atmosphere when most of the ground is in full swing so they just stand back and watch. Got to say I've been in so many away ends all over England, and in Europe watching NUFC and PSV and tonight was up there. Most recently it absolutely pissed on Juventus, Arsenal and Liverpool I did with PSV last calendar year and Leverkusen last month with NUFC for outright noise. None of them came close. There's something to work on. It's certainly not the waste of time trying to work on the atmosphere as I was starting to suspect it would be. A standing section next to the away fans would be a game changer. Basically just reintroduce the old Leazes Corner!
  10. View from the away end; It sounded loud. At times very loud! Best thing about it was we could clearly hear the Strawberry corner from up there and when they start singing, Level 7 next to the away end instantly joined in and it made for a very loud "echo" type sound which was very impressive. No complaints at all today. Good noise throughout. The PSV end was absolutely shite. Don't think think they sang a single song 2nd half. Not much to sing about tbf!
  11. Just had a message from a Dutch newspaper reporter from the Eindhovens Dagblad (The newspaper for Eindhoven/Brabant Region). Asked if I can meet up with him for an interview
  12. Bit sad that I've had texts off lads over in Holland saying how much they're looking forward to the atmosphere tonight given how disappointing the Liverpool fans were at Anfield, and Arsenal fans were at the Emirates, and I'm having to lower their expectations saying it'll be pretty much the same and it's not going to be the bouncing cauldron they're expecting. Looking forward to seeing the Gallowgate End display from the away end anyway.
  13. He's one of my favourite football managers of all time. Absolutely love him! Not arsed about defending just all out attack. Here he is celebrating last years league title
  14. So we had 2 attempts in 100 minutes then so you're just being pedantic. There was never a time in that game where I thought, we're the better team here, I think we'll win this. They beat us comfortably.
  15. If my auntie had bolllocks and all that... They were very comfortable winners. Though our approach, especially as the home team and really needing a win to take down there given our pathetic away form, was all wrong. Should have had a go at them. They aren't that good.
  16. Thought they beat us comfortably. They aren't a great team this season. We showed them too much respect. Never laid a glove on them.
  17. We made them look much better than they are. There's more than one way to beat Man City, they aren't the team they were. We were back just really poor in all aspects of our play. We didn't press them. We let them have far too much of the ball but offered nothing on the counter when we did get possession back. Just a disappointing performance all round.
  18. Their last 2 games have made that loss to them last week look even worse. In fairness they haven't been playing well for a long time. Shame we're so toothless away from home otherwise I'd be thinking this 2nd leg isn't a forgone conclusion.
  19. A couple of my mates have just arrived and are settled in to the Beehive there. One of them has just sent me a photo of the price list. They are well happy
  20. Domestic aways they've always had to go on a "traincombi" or "buscombi" where basically your bus/train and match ticket is combined and that's the only way you can get into the away end. Physically impossible to travel ny your own methods and gain entry to the ground. Away teams do that at PSV as well. The train station platform has a tunnel which connects it directly to the away end at the Philips Stadion so in over 20 years of travelling over there I've never seen an away fan outside the ground or having a drink in the city centre other than for European games. They were talking about relaxing the rules but there's been a bit of a spike in football hooliganism in the Netherlands this season so that might go on the backburner for a bit.
  21. I'm in the away end tomorrow mate. NUFC made the decision for me tbh as I failed in the ballot. Just had enough loyalty points to get tickets in the away end before it sold out. Got an email yesterday off PSV saying we need to go to the Slug and Lettuce between 10.30-17.30 tomorrow to pick up our tickets. They are very strict for Euro away ganes. They already have everyone's photo on their database on what's known as an electronic "away card" and they email you a voucher which they'll scan at the pub, and then on further production of ID they'll exchange the voucher for a ticket.
