  1. You know how a Rhino horn is made of hair. I reckon that's what hes going for... http://i67.tinypic.com/286sldd.png
  2. Wish we would just hurry up and go down.
  3. Really could have done without the ring licking analogy before lunch like
  4. Is that a real thing? http://footballburp.com/opinion/forum-thread-of-the-week-newcastle-fans-lambast-alan-pardew-on-way-to-victory/ Hah. I forgot I was in there.
  5. 1. There are no good English managers 2. It's not just English managers who've had problems with Ben Arfa One of which has just given him a starting berth in the French national team. Pardew and Steve Bruce. Two pally dinosaur jobs for the boys types. On the pitch the benefits vastly outweigh the negatives with this lad.
  6. He left to do modelling work for both polyfilla and dolmio
  7. Bloody hell. Like the Pyongyang herald that.
  8. The counter argument about sky would also hold more weight if he didn't shit his pants at the first seriously organised protest. It got to them and if you deny it( you can of course debate the extent) then you are somewhat in denial. And I don't see what being from the area has to do with it really. Like I said earlier, it costs me a small fortune to attend a single home game and I used to do it several times a season; so my time and money were notably commited. Like you and others who attend more regularly. Why, why then should a pack of apathetic, rich and uncaring cartel of arseholes be given so much leeway and our time and money? There's no justification other than meaning well or super fandom in some cases. It's not what anyone 'wants' but it's a compelling and valid argument IMO. Picking holes in it based on geography and attendance is irrelevant because of so many other variables. There are people who cross continents to attend just for a Saturday or drive twice as far as I would from London. It's not nice to criticise others or hear comments aimed at you but the debate can't and shouldn't be ignored.
  9. The cold hard fact is that attending under this this regime gives it legitimacy and is perpetuating it. We all saw how much they shat it when they knew people would take action and now it seems they know if they still make the token noises we'll go back to being good little fans. I traveled 600 miles all told to watch that shite on Saturday at the expense of around 3-400 quid for my family. It's got nowt to do with where anyone lives or the amount of time they put in. Emotionally and time wise we all put in a lot but it's a painful truth that by attending on Saturday I legitimised that. I respect that people offer voices in the ground but we know that Ashley doesn't deal in that currency.
  10. 70 million worth of investment would've helped/ I know this was a defense of Pardew (who had the players) but he really is trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Still, I believe that team is better than 4th bottom
  11. in that time look at the journey Southampton and Leicester have had.. I know which i would rather have had and it doesn't included sports direct tat Exactly. I don't subscribe to this belief that going down equals immediate doom. Although I'd rather we stayed with competent ownership. The lies and myths concocted to vindicate Ashley's actions by the press. Can you imagine if he owned Liverpool? There'd have been a media reckoning.
  12. Never thought mine would be so topical
  13. The stuff he was doing wasn't even particularly risky though. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but he really looks like a dud. He was moving around I suppose which bus more than can be said for the others but he showed very litte to go on today.
  14. Aye. But he'll still try won't he and not really my point. There was also press talk of it this week.
  15. That's all good and well, but fuck me he's a highly paid professional. The way he allowed the second goal to go in he should be fined and dropped. There;s just no excuse. Not excusing it. but what as a club do we do to try to address that? We give them no motivation to achieve anything, actively encourage one eye on the door and institutionally treat punters like shit. It's licence to get away with murder. Perez'll be next; maybe not because his Spain chances could be hurt.
  16. I can safely assume he has very little say. Our 'board' is a charade.
  17. Shame it's taken you 3 years to read the 1st chapter.
  18. He's sussed what we're about now. Not bothering our arses and so responds in kind. It's our culture.
  19. Sacking him will solve nothing and leaving it be to trust the other cretins to sort it with Steve in charge will yield even less. Horrible situation, horrible club.
  20. He looked petrified like and lacks pace.
