He's poo but he's done alreet. Should pack out the squad a bit. Nothing more to be said tbh.

Suprised by the poll even. Not attempting soopa fan status but no self respecting fan should be in support of this imo.

All managers deal in daft soundbites. Pardew does it just as much as anything else. Tis the way of things.

Save being a despicable no mark mackem I would have no idea why any supposed fan of NUFC would troll in this thread. Would take a special breed of massive prick to do that.
-
The captain's superheroic work in spreading obviousness hasn't spread wide enough; going on the views of some people.
-
Shocked at the poll so far if i'm honest.

I'd sooner have the true name on the ground than some charlatan pretender tbh. Why show him any respect after this?

Spraypaint the jet washers back each time graffiti ad infinitum

how ? A shirt which design changes regularly; even in the old days with different crests and a new style each decade' isn't comparable to something that has been a defining presence in the institution that is NUFC. With the shirts the crest is there, the colours are a constant and as is the name of the club. What we have officially now have is a non-entity of a name directly in place of (gone, possibly forever) one that ALL Newcastle fans love. People will alway debate kits and sponsors but he knew, he knew that this is the one thing that every fan would be unhappy or have reservations about and still went ahead and did it. Perhaps you're right and this is the future, but I don't believe for one second that he's doing this to be a pioneer of sponsorship and doing this for financial reasons to benefit the club. He's been spited by the fans in the past, owes them no favours in his mind and is using this stadium as endorsement of his own company. I don't mind him plastering his crap on the stadium a hundred billionenth as much as this. He is the owner and I'd expect him to look after his own inteests to an extent. This though is just shameless and insensitive to any Newcastle fan.

Laughable comparisons here. Even if this brought in income

Seriously though, you're either on the wind-up or not a critical thinker if you take what is said about this name change at face value.
-
Currently, it's earning us sweet FA and showcasing how to brazenly alienate fans and degrade a fantastic stadium. Why would any owner that cared do that? He's taking the piss. Or was it a 'tough decision'. I'm a liberal minded person and I'd like to think i'm tolerant and non-reactionary but this just smacks of a decision with no other agenda than to be blatantly obnoxious.

Not sure ambition means tens of millions necessarily. Piddling over a thousands for the likes of mariappa doesn't show any ambition as pleasing as the cisse signing seems
-
Whey! Someone who listens to an opposing view and bothers to not resort to complete polar reaction. I for one am made up at the league position but not the expense of the one thing that all fans uninanimously love. It's a abhorrent decision.

Whilst I don't agree with the praise lauded on the shepherd era I agree that the progress argument is ridiculous when referring to the name change. It's a complete piss take to swallow that shite. There's never one or the other. Any owner that genuinely cared about progressing the good of the club would have left this well alone

SJP batsignal above it is the way forward. Genius.

Most poignant bit of debate I've seen on here in a while if you ask me...I'm usually a lot more reserved when browsing

If what you say is true then I'm done with watching football. I'll just watch for the results after the bint on the news at home. That'll keep me happy. You can be progressive being forced to make such ridiculous compromise (and I use that term loosely). There's nothing progressive about brazenly alientating the majority of your paying public and that without considering the personal ties people have. As you've said you've stated your position. You seem to be on adifferent wavelength to the majority on here. Horses for courses and all that.
-
your getting embarassing now Not as embarrassing as actually picking Obertan and R.Taylor ahead of Ben Arfa. And he gets paid to do that! We seem to have managed without him for most of the season. Our right side has been crying out for a player who can do something other than pan it forward tbh. He would be an improvement on headless chickens and players frightened of a football.

I can't believe how many people regardless of the graffiti are arguing about the team, relegation and on pitch performances on this issue; it's not what people are angry about and why fans are doing this.
-
You're probably on the wind up or not getting the other side to it; that people believe that the plastering of an unwanted and false stadium name is what is degrading it; and not the graffiti which is the much lesser of two evils
