  1. Don't think Rey's point is that crackers tbh. I don't necessarily trust the fact that with a ball at his feet the lad hits brown alert. It hadn't quite been made as apparent to me before as it was last night. Don't think theres much between them bar Willo being a better 'blocker' and perch being better with his feet.
  2. 96% wages to see him 100% away from the team? The 'math' checks out for me like...
  3. Brain the size of a Mackem gene pool. Talentless idiot. Yesterday tipped the balance for me now with this lad.

Wonder whether that lasses body'll turn up
  5. Harper on ESPN was full of it too. 'I think we might have to get them back to St James' Park to go through' It's this sort of thinking and the fact we turned down away ticket allocations that baffle and bring out the conspiracy theorist in me. Can't find any other rational explanation to go to Brighton at supposedly decent strength and play for a draw.

Did not understand the thought behind those subs one bit at all. Bar ferguson. Nothing that was going to ever inject any pace or control. I agree in that Obertan would have injected some of that needed pace and would have considered him long before the other two.

The back line relies completely on a fit Colocinni. We need another CB/Fullback who is confidnet with the ball in possession. I don't think the backline is near sorted at all. Not that you had implied it fully was but with the addition of the 2 dembas I think we're looking a lot stronger in midfield and attacking options (bizzare persistence to start Shola aside). Part of the tendency long ball problem comes from players such as Williamson and Simpson who are incapable of building from the back. Raylor probably wants to see the ball but just doesn't have the ability at this level. The injury to Saylor was gutting in reard to this. We seem to be constantly in a state of imbalance; which imo is lack of ambition in terms of maintaining squad depth on behalf of the owners ultimately.
  8. I'd rather he'd seen red to be honest. I don't think given time left, Brighton had the nous or bite to finish us off. As it was the midfield and right flank was left like an open door and a hard but aimless, shot ended up going in off a defender in the box, which is always more likely to happen if allowed respect like that. The above is moot anyway. He's shown consistently now that he is not good enough to a permenant fixure at RB at this level. Take away his athleticism and generally commendable professionalism and theres not much left to suppost his case.

It's the gutlessness that seemed apparent after waxing lyrical about a strong cup run that hurts the most in this instance. I like Pardew but he needs to take a step back regarding some starting and sub options.

Recent games have highlighted singnificant flaws in his approach for me. That's all that can be said imo. I'm not going to engage 'slavering bed-sheet mong' mode just yet.

What's perch done wrong btw? He looked far more composed than Willo or simpson did. I find them playing in the same side a real, genuine problem.
  12. End it with ... In the toon from dakar, cisse and demba ba, OPTIONAL: We like to pardy, we like, like to pardy ...and you're onto a winner
  13. Cap on backwards too. The final insult

  15. Simpson was totally at fault for that today tbh. However, it is increasingly worrying how inept a 'footballer' this lad really is. Definitely part of the problem.

    Not sure about this like...
  17. He really seems it, tbh. Seems to show no desire to improve as a player. Seems very content and settled in the side (in a negative way, that is ). No pressure on his place, doesn't have to really bust a guy to pull a salary etc The fact he has a video game of himself and is trifling over a new contract speaks volumes to me. Don't think he quite gets it. He's a mediocre player.
  18. Thick as a bull's dick, Danny Simpson...shut up and get some bottle
  19. Tackle or foul; he was abysmal start to finish and has been in several of our recent games. We can't have him as a first team right back long term...especially where Williamson is involved.
  20. Watching it i'm sure both players handballed it. pinball style
  21. Just to mention that if Simpson hadn't bottled it, it most probably should have been a sending off, becasue of his booking. I'd have aken the red tbh with 3 minutes to go
  22. Highlighted massively for me the need to have footballing defenders with Colo gone. Simpson and Williamson can't cope with any form of responsibility with a ball at their feet and the former's tenacity in situations was laughable. We can manage to carry 1 of these types in the squad but for me the game was lost at the back primarily for these reasons. The fact Shola was played lone striker added to this with a lack of movement up top. Then the subs were just an admittance of defeat bar young fergie. Pardew and the lack of footballing options at the back lost it for me.

Honestly don't see what Gosling brings to the side...yet anyway. Those subs were the coffin nail for me. Arguably our 3 most creative players tonight replaced by 2 duds and the one player in Ferguson who should have been played much sooner. What was he thinking?
  25. I'd risk him becuse he actually can do something with a ball at his feet, simpson today and Pardew's decision to persist with him is making me progrsseively more an more angry.
