Really? You don't care if the football is crap? That is my principle reason for wanting him gone. The team of players will get my backing, along with the stuff that is clearly going right - scouting and signing players. The manager and coaches will not get any backing from me (whatever that is worth to them - I suspect very little indeed) because I don't applaud failure. The writing is on the wall, and has been for quite some time. Quite why anyone (not referring to you specifically DISOG, I see you have put you wanted him gone) is satisfied with resigning themselves to the desperate hope that Pardew stumbles across some "magic" formula that will negate his inability to manage a football club is beyond me. But each to his own I guess. I'm unsurprised he's staying, but frankly, because it now looks like he will be here for years to come, the future of this club is looking bleak in the extreme. Sad day.

Posted this at the end of November in the Pards out thread. I still can't see anything wrong with it:

I know it isn't really comparable, but we would be bottom of the Championship form table as well. Huddersfield Town are rooted to the bottom of the form table but have managed to get 4 points from their last 6 games. http://www.footballformguide.net/form/npower-championship Edit - out of the 92 professional league clubs, over the last 6 games, only Bury and Colchester have performed worse than Alan Pardew's Newcastle United. We're on par (form-wise) with Portsmouth, currently in the relegation zone of League 1. Make of that what you will - different leagues I know, but in terms of a team's performance in the league they are competing in on merit, we are easily one of the shittest in England/Wales.

Zico just quit as coach of Iraq. He'd be awesome I reckon, but like previous posts have said, he'd have to be happy working with MA and, more likely than not, the current group of coaching/backroom staff. From his wiki page (relating to when Keegan walked): On 8 September 2008, Zico revealed that he would be interested taking over the vacant managers position at Newcastle United following the resignation of Kevin Keegan. He is quoted saying "The Newcastle job is one that I would be very interested in taking. It would be a privilege and an honour, I've always wanted to experience the Premier League as I believe I could enjoy much success coaching in England." He also commented that he isn't bothered about the structure of the board at Newcastle United, "I am used to working alongside technical directors so this isn't an issue for me. It's normal for me to work in those conditions." Don't think he had a very good time at Olympiacos, getting sacked after threats of violence from fans (just taken from the wiki article). Not sure of the details on that one. The article also suggests that he is sporting director of Flamengo, although I think that might not be true...? <edit: he quit that role after 4 months - GREEN LIGHT MIKE> Anyway, I can but dream.

Don't think so. The writing has been on the wall for a long time, but results last season papered over the cracks. Under Pardew we have failed to address ANY of these issues, and it would appear that he simply does not know very much about coaching football. Don't think for one second it'll happen - but we should sack the bastard. Absolutely not good enough, and no sign that he either knows how to, or is prepared to change.
