Agreed and their performance at Norwich flattered them hugely. 3 shots on goal and 30 something percent possession. They're still a crap team.

Weirdly I think that stoke being battered again might just mean they have to pull their fingers out at home vs mackems. Mackems could easily lose next 2 and if we have beaten palace, be 3 points behind with a similar goal difference (albeit with a game in hand).

At least Arsenal need a result vs Sunderland and Norwich with West Ham and Man United winning tonight.

I think a stronger team tonight hopefully means a weaker one on Saturday....

Probably a fair few, if we are counting the opportunity to shoot as a chance. I doubt the average conversion rate for a striker is above 20%.

Yep - he played well in the first half, which coincided with us getting the ball to him a bit more. Faded in the second half and it was the right decision to bring him off in the second half. I think people underestimate how hard it is to influence a game as a winger if the ball isn't supplied to you regularly enough. You can't go chasing the ball and ruining the shape of the team.

We have 3 home games left, we've gained points in 5 of our last 6 at home. Granted two of our last three are very tough, but home form is decent. We have the worst team in the league to play away, a side who from yesterday's selection won't be first choice when we visit, and a team who've won one in about half a season. I am choosing to be optimistic and go with this view. My only fear is that tomorrow night seems absolutely crucial - if we lose heavily, I fear the players' heads will drop going into a match with a Liverpool team that looks like to be not at full strength. Spurs is almost the game I am most hopeful for (bar Palace and Villa). If they can't win the league, do you honestly think that people like Kane, Dier and Alli will be going all out when they have the Euros coming up? Can't see it myself.

Looked pretty quick today from where I was sitting. Looked quicker than Mbemba on the odd occasion and Mbemba is definitely a quick centre back.
