  1. beckford wouldnt do it in the premiership imo, neither will Lambert id guess... Lambert is just a goalscorer with a wonderful shot, but like Beckford, i just feel his plateau would be championship football George Boyd on the other hand...
  2. The would be illegal I thought it was ok in the last 6 months of a contract, to talk to other clubs. Otherwise how do players agree free moves before their contract expires? It is for players abroad iirc. ah right, thanks for the clarification, is it a recent rule or has that always been in force? yet another case of England being out of step with the rest of Europe (just like the age limit to sign professional contracts) and yeah i was basing MY knowledge on Footy Man too!
  3. so above 50k is doable? we normally have a late surge on the day, but am i right in thinking there are no cash turnstiles tomorrow?

  5. knee injury too so may be injured for longer than the ban in all

  7. at the box office they said there are very few left in gallowgate, and only ones left in leazes are level 6 and above, which was a bitch getting 2 together. any news on estimated attendance?
  8. Am i the only one look at him as a replacement for Colo? assuming he goes on a wage about a third of Colo, he is a bit younger and we would make profit on transfer (assuming we wait ti his contract expires and get him on pre-contract in jan). We would need another centreback but Colo on £70k+ wages is just rediculous, and we can do better for wages like that...
  9. stunning, Reina had no chance like, Liverpool look so average its almost sad (almost!)
  10. It's not a city, doesnt have a proper catherdral Not sure what your point is. It's clearly a city. As much as mackems (the footballer supporters) are deluded idiots, mackems the people are good, NE folk like the rest of us. Maybe yes, but they are still not a proper city, They won it in a lottery for the queens golden jubilee Thought it was more of a competition than a lottery? Anyway, if I win a million pounds in the lottery am I 'not really' a millionaire? Well, isnt the classic definition of "millionaire" someone with an annual income of £1mil? if so, then no point is correct though
  11. Also, is it just me or is this Man Utd side quite beatable? Theyre relying on a mid-30's player Giggs as their main creativity, their defence is knacked and Rooney doesnt have a partner upfront...theyre alot poorer than the league suggests
  12. Smith in a holding role, with Nolan/Wilshere taking up the other centre mid role, while the other plays behind Shola. Wilshere would be very creative there, but Nolan seems to get alot of goals there, so i think either can be done? This is in a 442 like

Or maybe we made him look worse because our central midfielders all sat back watching instead of offering options? got to question the coaching and other stuff at the club as duff is now playing much better, milner is,bramble is and we pissed n'zog and soooooo many others off into not giving a s***. Duff and Bramble couldn't play any worse. I'd like to see if they are actually playing much better, they aren't as scrutinized as they were here. Bramble is making the same amount of mistakes as he was, mistakes that would be criticised for weeks on end here, that won't be the case at Wigan. As for Milner, he's simply playing in a better team. why couldn't they play any worse ? bramble was wigans player of the year last season, in what i think was their best ever season and the fulham fans have taken to duff. Duff has played around 10 games. I don't believe the fans were labelling Duff as a terrible player after that period. Bramble may well have played better at Wigan, maybe he couldn't handle the pressure, but he's still making the same mistakes and will continue to do so. Duffers was pretty much ruined by injuries before he got here...he was too afraid to take on his man for fear of another injury. I think he got injured before 10 games of the season and when he came back he was even more of a shadow of his former self.
  15. It may be me being pessimistic, but i still have this feeling West Brom will finish top...they seem more at ease in this division style-wise yet have slipped up alot recently. Theyre roughly the same goal diff whil nearly ten points behind. I think our january match will really be a big factor, if for nothing else but confidence (imagine if we open a 10 point gap?)
  16. Well im yet to see us play well away, but we do seem to have got that knack of edging these games recently, and Sholadinho is back so im going for a 1-0...no idea for the goal
  17. Sheff Wed home was pretty decent, but the best I've seen hin strike was at home to Chelsea a few seasons ago. He had John Terry and A.N.Other center back tight on him, he was back to goal but spun and hit an unstoppable shot past the keeper. That is the enigma that is Shola. Enigma I'd say Shola was a mysterious or puzzling person tbh. Mercurial...and the centre back for the Chelsea goal was Desailly! Makes the goal more special in my opinion, even if Shearer did do better a bit later on...
  18. I will be. going down to see a friend Im at Sheff Uni mate, so no doubt will be celebrating down Embrace after... on a related note, did anyone go out in Sheffield after the Sheff United game? that was a mental night out like... Yep went to Embrace, was brilliant, especially in the street outside afterwards i had vide of that nite in Embace but wont post it as this seems site seems to be a bit hard on video posting... They dont mind it aslong as its not showing highlights/goals and/or something illegal. http://www.facebook.com/v/168071118324 - fairplay

  21. I shal once again be in attendance, away game numbe 5 for me...i currently stands at 2 wins and 2 losses... anyone tell me whether row g in block NS2 is good? i had terrible seats for Scunny but apart from that ive had decent seats this season...
  22. Raul (the apparent reason that Real Madrid hvent won owt recently) and Lee Bowyer (recent form is what Bobby was after)... Bolton - everything bout the club is rotten (fans, stadium, owner and manager) but i like the players such as Matty Taylor, Kevin Davies, Gary Cahill and Gardner...that Steinsson is decent too if he is still there?
  23. The SAFC players are not slumming it in the Bigg Market at weekends & they are not whacking seven bells out of each other. The likes of Sissy were always out with NUFC players when it Toon. and that phlegm-spouting Diouf...
  24. Well, if we get Kilgallon, id say he is a backup this year, with a view to selling Colo in the summer to ease the wage bill... Kilgallon is about 2 years younger than Colo, is he alot worse considering he'd be on about a third of the wages Colo is on now? He has looked better to me (in this league anyway)
