  1. Tactically schooled Ange today. Well done Eddie! Would absolutely love for him to have a beast of a run in and finish 6th. He deserves it.
  2. That time he blew an aorta arguing with tango mackem Phil Brown
  3. "Which one's Simon Bird? You're a cunt!" RIP Joe
  4. I must be the only one who thinks that's a good result for us. Chelsea do not have the level of consistency to sustain a run of form, no chance. Neither do we, nor Man United. It will be very tight.
  5. Would be a great fit level-wise for a Fulham, Brentford or a Bournemouth at best tbh.
  6. Will raise my hand and shamefully admit when Pope first joined I thought he was a sidewards step in comparison to Dubravka and was in the same bracket/level. Fucking hell was I wrong. Although at times I have seen people blame Dubravka for things that aren't entirely his fault, generally when we concede a penalty and need him to save it or if he is in a 1-on-1 situation, I have zero confidence in him since he's come back. I think earlier during his time here he was such a clear improvement on Darlow in terms of confidence and shot stopping and he cost peanuts which is what endeared him to many.

    Harvey Barnes

I hear you but rather useful with above average end product than out ya seat with below average end product. I am convinced in the long term he will be a clear and obvious improvement on ASM.
  8. If we finish 7th this year given the undeniable shitshow of crap luck we've had then I say he's done a good job all things considered and is worth giving him next season as ultimatum. 7th is still on the overall forward progress. West Ham have some tricky fixtures left, it ain't over til its over. Ultimately decision is for PIF to make, I don't think Stavely and Co. would want him gone just yet.
  9. Played like someone only participating to get the passing grade in P.E class tonight. Been shocking for a while now, but even if he wasn't playing with an injury or whatever - do you really want him to be your midfield option when players better than him are injured? And is he really even an impact player to come off the bench? The answer is no to both questions for me, I would rather we cash in as soon as possible. Local lad or otherwise.
  10. Tonight wasn't his fault though. Pickford has a good game and a player that wouldn't even get a sniff of the pitch wouldn't have played if it weren't for the injury situation cost us 3 points. I will criticise him when its due criticising but don't think tonight was on him.
  11. Delighted for him, still think should have brought on Hall earlier especially with the money spent on him. Fair play though, Barnes really saved him from another awkward week. Must must must must sort the defensive situation out in the summer because he seems to not have the answers for it at the moment.
  12. Pure piss take bringing on Hall second half and not in the first given the amount of money spent on him.
  13. Must be said, injuries aside, the recruitment last summer (bad as it is) and how he has utilised it this year has not been good at all.
  14. Quality (or lack of) of our lot on show really hard today. Europe? Nah, not a chance.
  15. How piss easy was it to break the offside "trap" there.
  16. If the medical team and Howe were aware of this being a real risk to a high enough level then it has been a very short sighted decision to play him given what our injuries have been like so far this year.
  17. I hate to be thinking this of a local lad who scores the occasional goal but then that is literally exactly just what he is and I cannot see him being anything more than that He offers nothing vast majority of the time and can be extremely frustrating. I just don't see us moving to the next step with having him in our squad.
  18. Perfectly good mentality to have if we were still under our previous ownership and had a Pardew style 5th place finish last year or something In this reality kind of need to be a bit more balanced by now. Nobody has said he hasn't taken us to incredible heights but there are perfectly rational reasons why anyone can have doubts about certain aspects about him yet still want him to succeed.
  19. It's 50/50 for Eddie at the moment - Can he fix the defence? Once we have our best 11 playing can we still play our best game without teams knowing what to expect and play against it? Do we have a plan B in case situations like this season happen again next year? If the answer is no to these questions then he's a goner tbh and its just a matter of time. Heart wants him to succeed because I do love him, head thinks he's hit his celling.
