Haven't kept up much in the last couple of days but I am also leaning towards the sell if there is a good offer made (and this doesn't in any way disregard his contribution, presence, quality etc.) He came in, helped keep us up, helped us qualify for CL and can leave with his head high. I don't think he has many years left at this level given his age so if it means selling to be able to free up to buy more and especially if this season means we aren't finishing like last season then yeah, we may not get another chance to recoup what we can for him more so than now. I do completely understand for some on here sentiment getting in the way and even more than that as he is top quality but age is not on his side and neither if FFP on our side.

I just don't see things changing in terms of our approach unless we either get enough important players back in one go or have a couple of incomings - and to be perfectly honest anyone can point what needs improved and who isn't in our long term plans but its becoming evident that this is going to be a much slower project than the previous moneybags football projects as the circumstances are not completely the same. I reserve judgement when we have a near full squad to pick from to demonstrate if Howe has learnt from the mistakes/experiences of this season (not accounting the ones he had no fault in e.g. Tonali). Until then to the people that will say he should have done this, he should have done that with regards to formations and tactics they can crack on but the fact remains he has had the likes of Lascelles, Ritchie and some fucking kids on the bench for this shit run of form in the league. Bloke has already shown his capability of coaching the best out of limited players but these are Champo players and kids on the bench now.

Its common sense and a matter of time, let this period pass as I believe when things pick up again it'll be all the sweeter to shut down anyone who has talked rubbish from our own fanbase or from other clubs.

Absolutely this, I cannot believe how bad we have been fucked with the Willock and Barnes injuries as well as the Tonali ban. The Barnes one is just utterly fucking absurd.
